I suppose I'd best point out that this isn't Tiswas Reunited, but it certainly is an official Tiswas reunion, way back in 1988 for the ITV Telethon. Something most people have forgotten about.

It features Flan Your Folks, soaking of the Cage, the Bucket Of Water Song and more...

About 20 years later in the same studio, Decadant Doll ends up being there.

Being an old git, I remember it quite well.

Wonder why ITV gave up Telethons?

Apparently because they faked films of disabled people.

I remember the Telethons as well but had no idea that's why they stopped. Must be time for a relaunch - with the obligatory Ant & Dec in charge!

I was the grand old age of 17 when this was held, thanks to Peter for the link, good watching that. Yes must be time for a re-launch. Better than 'i'm a celeb get me out of here' thats for certain.

Hi Peter

Thanks very much. I've never seen this before, and I really enjoyed watching it. I felt they certainly recaptured the atmosphere of the TV show, and there were some good funny moments.

Cheers

I never saw it first time round, I wasn't allowed to stay up that late!

Some bits of it were better than Tiswas Reunited, I have to say.

I remember watching it when it was shown, I phoned up and pledged 50 quid because of it (the one and only time I ever donated to a TV appeal!), and duly sent the cheque off a couple of weeks later when the paperwork arrived (no debit cards back then!).

I've not watched the clip yet, but the only bit I can remember from the original is a lass in some kind of black and white overalls (and a sombrero?) getting very thoroughly soaked at one point.

I also dimly remember something about a cage where the camera work focussed entirely on the people throwing the water, so much so you couldn't actually see the cage folk on the receiving end at all.

And wasn't Sally James pregnant at the time?

Will watch the clip and see how much of it is as I remember - IIRC I'd had a bottle or two of Newkie when it was shown so memories may be a tad addled. 8)

Hmm... this seems to be what happens.

Yep. I guess they should have held it back at Central in Birmingham, rather than at LWT, where they were not used to such sillyness.

(Thankfully, Tiswas Reunited has plenty of shots of the Cage getting the treatment.)

True - this is explained in the intro.
