Wasn't expecting that one! Though the bits with Hattie Jacques are cool.

Come on, guys, lets get the usual suspects out the way and start coming up with some more obscure ones...

I could be really obscure and say "Carrie"

...... of course that's no fun at all. Although it is messy, followed by lots of wetlook... before the fire comes along... then it's just scary.

I know it isn't what others might think of, but I actually consider the Evil Dead Trilogy to contain some of the best WAM shots ever.... just the ones where Bruce Campbell gets covered in "blood" that is never red!

Lots of green black blue, purple slime.... and he gets soaked through...

Yes, I love Bruce Campbell. He is the King of B-Movie Horror Slapstick.

Fair enough Hayley. but there is the bit with the girl under the table snogging her BF. She comes up for air and gets a huge cake in the face. Then goes back to snogging. But I will try harder and come up with something better dont you worry.

The pie fight from the end of Confessions from a Holiday Camp. What wouldn't I give to be Robin Askwith's shoes when he gets a pie planted firmly in his face from that beauty contestant? Mmmm.
Look, if you're all going to throw pies around would you mind throwing them at me!!!

Well, we got a few in before somebody suggested the Great Race!

Brandy, brandy, throw more brandy....

For British pie fights that are less well known, lets hear it for Smashing Time with Rita Tushingham.

A few more:

There was a low budget film called "Mugsy's Girls" which my local video store stocked in the mid 80's. This was about some US college girls who raised money first with some cream wrestling and then they went on to enter a mud wrestling competion. The film had some pretty good scenes.

A film which was released under a couple of different names one was "All the Marbles" and I forget the second name. The film was a road movie which had the guy who played the TV cop Columbo managing two female wrestlers. One scene had the two wrestlers in a mud wrestling contest against two other females. The scene was pretty good with the girls ripping each others T shirts off.

The TV soap opera Dynasty had a few WAM scenes. The one that I remeber had two female actresses (I think they were called Heather Lockyear and Emma Samms) in a fight, first in a water butt and then in a mud pool.

Early when HBO was received by Satellite only, there as a spoof on Close Encounters of the Third Kind. It was called Closet Cases of the Nerd Kind. Here is a write up of it. It was 12 minutes long and had tonnes of pies. There are many copies out there normaly on the same VHS or BETA that had hardware wars, Bambi Meets godzilla, ect.
_____________________________________________________________
In the film, sewage worker Roy Dreary and an assortment of odd characters meet up with some cute and cuddly extra-terrestrials-traveling to earth in a giant pie in the sky. Dreary develops an obsession with mashed potatoes, whipped cream and maraschino cherries. He encounters singing mailboxes, truck radios that spout bubbles and bubble music, and one pie in the face after another, before finally finding himself at the Sara Loo pie factory-and his close encounter of the nerd kind.

Other characters include a wide-eyed cherubic child, a famous French scientist, a bewildered wife, a mysterious code which turns out to be the notation for the Greek letter Pi, and an oversized xylophone on which Dreary signals to the aliens. All of the character voices are over-dubbed by voice artists Corey Burton and Sandy Stotzer.

The film won the Silver Award at the Houston International Film Festival, and the Golden Eagle from CINE. While the film is not currently available on home video, it has been issued in the past on the compilation VHS release Hardware Wars, and Other Film Farces from Warner Home Video.

Edit Found it. It is on the DVD of Hardware Wars and Other Film Farces!
