I once saw -on a local tv news programme - a traditional inititiation of two young female printers who had just finished their apprenticeship. They were put in a cart and pulled between two lines of male printers who covered them with eggs, flour, ink and every messy substance you could think of. I found this very erotic.

Has anyone else witnessed similar situations - or have fanatasies about such scenarios.

I believe that apprentice coopers had a similar sort of ritual at the end of their apprenticeship. The victim had to make a barrel (such as was used to contain beer - when it was 'real ale') then get inside it and be covered with water, flour, and other messy substances then get rolled around the yard by his mates.
I doubt if wooden barrels are made by hand these days so the tradition may have died out.

Printing apprentices, male and female, in Germany still get soaked at their passing out ceremonies, "Gauchfest" I believe it's called. What seems to happen to the fully-clothed participants is:

1. Made to sit on chair with saturated sponge for cushion, soaking the back of their trousers.

2. Small quantities of water poured over them from above while sitting in the chair.

3. Picked up by the hands and feet and thoroughly dunked in a large trough / bath of water.

4. Given a very large glass of beer, which must then be drunk.

They look like fun events to be put through!

A good fantasy scenario - which I have seen in a video - is for a job interviewee to be initiated as a test at a job interview.

So the canididate for the job, dresed up in her/his new suit, new hairdo etc., is told at the start of the interview that while the interviewer is asking them questions they will be tested as to their ability to keep calm under pressure.

Then, while answering the usual innocuous questions, they will be surprised from behind by having eggs, syrup, etc. poured over them. They will, of course, try to pretend that nothing has happened. They are even told to stand up and have their pants filled.

Then at the end of the interview they are told they haven't passed and given a small tissue to clean up before leaving. This is good fun to do with a partner!!

I love the idea of that fantasy scenario.

When i had a private messy session with silly Gilly, I did something similar - but it was an interview to be a model at Splosh. So she was reacting etc.

I much prefer your idea, where the gunge is like a stress test, and the victim has to continue as if nothing is happening.

I'd LOVE to do that as a private session - especially the funny ending, with only a small amount of tissue to clean up. Funny!!

Hi, Certainly up until the mid to late 1960's it was still a very important part of 'passing out' of the apprenticeship. I was a printer at the time and had to undergo a very similar thing. The main difference was I was stripped to my underpants, tied to a table and a handful of printing ink was put inside my pants, after which I was deluged with eggs and flour. This I had to endure for about an hour before I was released.

It sounds fun, but believe me it isn't fun afterwards. Printing ink will not wash out as it's oil based, and the thinners used to clean the machines of it is far too strong to put anywhere near your private parts. The best I could do was get as much off with white spirit, then make sure I washed all that off thoroughly, then let the rest wear off in time. I was black in that area for a couple of months afterwards until it wore off.

This is something I have always fantasised about. I remember years ago there was an article in Splosh magazine about the initiation printers went through. I think that it was called "banging out". The printers were stripped and had all sorts of muck poured over them.

This really was an item on local London TV news many years ago. The women were clothed but there was quite a few minutes showing them being comprehensively wammed.

Actually, I was watching it with my dad who was a printer and had been through this "banging out", and had said about the ink being really difficult to get out. His comment was "they shouldn't have done it to them since they were women ". Of course, I couldn't help but be incredibly turned on. Well, they seemed to be enjoying it anyway.

Phantom - there is a job interview on a Messygirl dvd with Sara applying for a job as a pie stooge on a messy game show. This is good but a bit different from my fantasy, plus this basic type of pieing video doesn't bring the role play aspects of the scene alive in the way that Bill would: setting the scene up, the smart clothes and hairstyle of the interviewee, different types of mess, etc.

A further aspect of my fantasy is that the victim would have to go home by taxi or public transport, having only been able to clean themselves up with the small tissue !!

Yes, it was me that mentioned "banging out" in SPLOSH! all those years ago accompanied by a picture of an ink and flour covered apprentice. Women should certainly take their share in these sort of initiation ceremonies, but in these PC days, I'm sure none of it is allowed.

As for videos, it is a good idea though the "Interview to Be a Messy Model" theme has been done by several companies (including us). IMHO It would be far better if the interview were for something else and the mess was a sort of surreal way of demonstrating the "pressure" she'd be under.

As for the "going home messy" idea....Gilly and Anne Marie did a session with eggs for the Silly House last year and Annie decided to visit her male friend at the garage opposite the studio (it's a long story, don't ask!) soaked in several dozen eggs to give him a hug. I think the whole of St Leonards stood still as she ran across the road shouting his name!!

Wish I was in a job that involved being banged out...just my kind of thing!
