Splosh! on the radio!!

Postby BillShipton » 19 Dec 2006, 19:26

Hi folks,

News just in! I've been invited to do a late night talk show complete with live action sploshing on RADIO!

Kerrang! in Birmingham are very keen on the idea and although there is absolutely no fee and I shall probably wind up sleeping on New St Station (well, if Dolly can, I can!) it will be fun.

They want to have girls wrestling in the studio and me talking bollocks (think Howard Stern in the US), so tune in. I will let you know the date when it is sorted out.

I do however have a rider in my contract. I'm insisting on a Kerrang! teeshirt and Lucy, the girl who booked me on the phone, joining in getting messy!

Looking forward to it!!!

So Kerrang have got their own radio station now? I remember them from many years back when they were the leading heavy metal fanzine in the early eighties.

They've got their own concerts, radio station, TV channel.. the magazine did used to be good, but it's not very good these days. The radio station is very cool however, and I listen often. :)

Cool!

Just remember to pose for the microphone before delivering that all-important first bucket of beans, and make sure the lighting is right - unknown to many, lighting is very important in radio work.

Oddly enough I am aware that I am never gonna be a television God. That's whyI grew a beard so even I dont have to look at myself that often. Am quite a good talker though and I guess there might be some webcam stuff.

Apparently the show I'm on won an award. Well, we'll soon put pay to that!

Sounds like you should start doing some Podcasts Bill. Seems it is the way to go or should that goo in the digital age. I am no oil painting myself Bill so I meant no offence!
