Hi comedy fans,
I really enjoyed that Blackadder thread - seeing what various people thought and preferred.
Now ... tonight I was at a comedy show with three acts, one of who was Father Ted's Ardal O' Hanlon (Father Dougal). It was a great night, and two of the three acts were funny (the compere was the crap one).
So let's have it, Father Ted fans ...
Of all the funny bits from Father Ted, what is the one singlemost (and this is the tricky part - select JUST ONE THING) funniest thing you saw on Father Ted? What - more than anything else - cracked you up in Father Ted?

Father Ted
Oh yes what a thread !
Got to be the entire episode `Entertaining Father Stone` Difficult to chose a best bit but at a push i would have to say the moment when Ted is in the bath opens his eyes & Father Stone is there just staring at him, asks what he wants & Stone replies " to use the toilet" Then drops his kegs & sits on the bog. Comedy gold

In my opinion the funniest scene from father ted was in the episode where all the priests are on the plane, the plane is going to crash and they only have 2 parachutes, both of which father jack takes, one for him and one for the drinks trolley, they both end up landing in a tree and the drinks trolley is just out of father jacks reach.
I saw this and another episode being filmed and they were hilarious.

God that is a tough question because I'd say that Father Ted was possibly my favorite comedy show of all time.
The first two series were fantastic although for me the third series wasn't quite as good.
As for my one thing that I laughed at most: I think it'd have to be the "pop video" for My Lovely Horse!

I just changed my mind, it'd have to be when Bishop Brennan woke up in bed in a room full of rabbits and the most sarcastic priest in the world got trapped in Father Jack's laundry basket.

Actually no, the best of the best was when Ted and Dougal had to get evidence of kicking Bishop Brennan up the arse and Bishop Brennan suddenly realised what had happened.

(Hope nobody saw through my unsubtle method to get around choosing one moment?)

Piemeplease, Messy Laura and Jonny.....
You have all miserably failed the name-your-ONE-favourite-Father-Ted-moment challenge.
Although Piemeplease gets a less harsh sentence for at least trying to be clever about cheating.
Some great F.T. moments (and episodes, one-off characters and quotes) have been mentioned so far ... but not my own personal favourite scene yet.
Keep 'em coming, ye wammers.
