Sailor Helen braves the falls (wet)

Here's some pics from our return trip to Rivington this past Thursday. The full pic set is up on the main Wamdrogony site, I've also added the video preview both to the site and YouTube.

The obligatory "Here I come in my nice dry outfit" opening shot.

Please shower before entering the pool.

OK, so maybe it was a little cold.
Image

Bathing beauty, albeit a rather glum, burly one.
Image

I aten't ded. In spite of my genius decision to wear high heels for clambering about wet, slimy rocks and waterfalls.
Image

My attempt to get a "showering beneath the waterfall" shot is foiled when I discover just how powerful all that water coming down is after a few days of rain. Like a hammer it was - also the rocks at the bottom of the pool were constantly being churned around by the force of the waterfall, making it even harder to keep my balance.

Post-dunking.

Wot you looking at?

Happy ever after.

I have to admit here, I was going to go in, I had the red pjs on but I wimped when we got their, ended up hidden behind the camera. It is a nice place too shoot at. Yes the water was cold, not that I went in this time. Would love to get some more people up their.

regards

Andy

Great pics again, Helen.

I always imagined that arty sitting under the waterfall shot was a lot more difficult than it looked.

Reminds me of the story from that old Cadbury's Flake ad where the girl gos under the waterfall into a cave on her boat (eating chocolate of course). Apparently the cave was home to a colony of bats and as she raised her face to accept the 'cool clear water' it dislodged a large quantity of bat guano which hit her in the face!

Anyway, love the sailor suit! I'll be Olive Oyl to your Popeye any day!

love

The bottom end of the stream had a few peoeple their but once we crossed the bridge we had the place to ourselves. The water was awesome Miss Helen was a real star. I bottled it in the red pjs, looking back I should have really gone in, I know I would of enjoyed it.

Another wonderful set of photos, that waterfall looks really inviting :D . Keep up the good work and sharing the photographs with us all.
I'm from Bristol, and from late 1998 - 2002 I ran a WAM club (TNMMC). After TNMMC closed I retired from WAM, but I've made a comeback and pleased to say TNMMC is back.

Thanks all! :)

Re. the outdoor/daytime/shyness thing, the secret is having a camera, a tripod and someone to follow you around carrying it - that way you can call it art, dah-ling. People expect you to be doing weird shit if you've got someone filming you.
Actually, most people don't care anyway unless you give them a reason to - going out of your way to make lousy excuses or attempts to hide what you're doing just looks creepy, it's inviting people to question your motives. it takes a certain confidence but if you're civil and just chat with passers-by without even mentioning your appearance the worst thing that'll happen is that you'll give them a bizarre but unthreatening encounter to chat about later.
The politicians who succesfully survive sex scandals are those who basically say, yes, I am that sexy beast. It's the scandal that fuels the fire, not the sex.

That said, I am very careful not to do anything that will actually interfere with the general public or cause embarassment in a way that will ruin their day - this is simple adherance to SSC principles and plain good manners.
If there are kids about, we go where they ain't - aside from anything else, if they get in the shot we can't use the footage.
