In Bristol. Should be heading to the meet in the next five minutes.
And stop calling me "Shortly" :p

Thanks Mike for a lovely meet, and a very moving tribute to Bill - I'm sure he would have loved the whole day.
I've attached the group shot - so many of us there, which was wonderful!
And just a tease of what Candy got up to (or should I say down to) on the Sunday afternoon.
And amazing super thanks to DunkTankBabes for hosting, dunking and otherwise making it a very gloopy time.

That’s 34; I had just enough water, and 25 stayed for dinner.
The card is below, and I’m puzzled as to how Dtb Dave & Hayley are missing from it; they’ll be placed in detention (or something) at the next Brizzle bash for failing to sign the register. They’re in the photo, so they can’t plead they weren’t present.
I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to the meet, the diehards, the occasional visitors, and the 10 Bristol newbies alike, for making it the meet that it was. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves; I think I got to chat to everyone, if only briefly. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible, especially returning newbies, at future Bristol and other meets.
As I hadn’t been able to do any location-scouting, and the weather forecast wasn’t too promising, the consensus was that we’d make the most of Dave and Hayley’s very kind offer of their clay-filled dunktank. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it as, due to delays in railway engineering works at Reading, I was told that delays of over an hour were to be expected in each direction. A 10.30 departure was likely to get me there some time well after 2.00pm with part of the journey by a replacement bus service; leaving me very little time there before needing to leave for the journey back. I trust everyone who made it enjoyed themselves.
Dates for your diary for next year’s Bristol Splunches are 17th May and 16th August; book your hotels now, many are dirt cheap.
Keep your eyes on the forums for further news of the Bill Shipton Memorial Splunch.
Cheers,
Mike.

Thanks for organising an amazing splunch Mike. Was great to see everyone. One of the best weekends I've had in ages.

First and foremost a big thank you to Mike for hosting the splunch and especially for your tribute, it was so well thought out, emotional, touching and clever and you did an amazing job even though it must have been so difficult for you. Well done ((big hugs)) and a big pat on the back. A separate note of thanks too for your support with a splunch related matter.
Thanks also to dunktankbabes for hosting a marvellous day on the Sunday and for giving us all so much fun, it was brilliant in the mud, and brilliant out of it too with so much laughter and happy (muddy) faces everywhere! Thanks to Henry Wilcox too for the amazing photography (pics available soon ish!)
Thanks to Guest0 as well for looking after Hanna so well when she became poorly and had to sit things out and go home a little earlier than planned.
You're all awesome, and I had a great time because of you

Proper miffed that I couldn't attend. Was expecting money to clear into my bank account on the Friday and it didn't.
