Well, as they say, you are only as old as the person feeling you!

Perhaps Bill will let you have a tinkle on his ivories.

And no that isn't a knicker wetting reference!

Why am I imagining Bill like Uncle Albert from Only Fools & Horses, when he used to hog the piano in The Nag's Head!

Ass DD will testify, the pub round the corner from the studio is called the Nags Head and my regular pub (the famous Marina Fountain) own a yellow reliant Robin van with their name on the side. However, old as I am, I'm not quite in Uncle Albert territory yet. Think more Chas of Chas n Dave!

Chas n Dolly, now there's a thought!

"Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit " was Chas N Daves big hit if I remember so that leaves it open to interpretation for "Chas N Dolly"! Was not meaning you were old Bill, could just see you entertaining at the piano with you stories of Beer, Beer and covering naked women in Custard.

hehehe tinkling on the ivories! i'm sure there are guys out there who'd like someone to wee on their piano.

Urination in G Minor , har de har har!

I can testify to it, I was in the Nag's Head! two very friendly doggies in there, licking Bill's shoes. There was also a big spider, and Mike and I were scared of it. (imagine a 6ft 3 metal drummer being scared of spiders!)

Chas n Dolly... oh dear me!

I was thinking of reviving shows like On the Buses, but Chas n Dave... my my!

Won't have a word said against Chas n Dave!

We saw them live as part of a large cast at a charity gig recently and they stormed it. The unsophisticated half of the audience (like us) loved them and the posey arty half loved them "in an ironic way". Any act that can sing

"And if you fink I don't mean what I say and I'm only bluffin'
You got another fink coming I'm telling you that for nuffing."

(Aint no Pleasing You) is okay by me!

I think this thread needs to go back to its original remit though so I'll shut up!

PS Yes, the dogs in the Nags Head lick my shoes - cos they are usually covered in custard and chocolate sauce! The bar staff still haven't worked that out!

I havent experienced Chas n Dave first hand, only on tv! But me replacing Dave is the thing that made me go "my my, dear me" hehehe :)

anyone who doesnt take themselves seriously is fine by me!

maybe the ones at the pub think you're a God to rottweilers and them licking your shoes is a mark of respect.

*perhaps*

Saw Led Zeppelin a hundred million years ago at Knebworth. Depending on which week-end you went to you either got Fairport Convention or Chas and Dave, and as life long Fairport fans we got Chas and Dave. :x
Kind regards, Spinynorman and Frilly

Still messing about after all these years!
