SPLOSH!'s MAGAZINE CLEAR-OUT ENDS NEXT WEEK!
Re: SPLOSH!'s MASSIVE MAGAZINE CLEAR-OUT!!
Incredible that these messy images and writing on PLAIN PAPER fixed together with nothing more than a couple of staples are selling so well. Bill, I think you're on to a winner here...I think you should call it a mag-a-zine.

Re: SPLOSH!'s MASSIVE MAGAZINE CLEAR-OUT!!
Well at 8.45am today, two tons of back issues were loaded into an extra large dustcart to be recycled. We still have around a ton available for sale. As well as being hard work helping load them in, it was a bit sad seeing them all being crushed. Well almost all. Needless to say the driver took a few back "for the lads at the depot" (as had the driver the night before who'd disposed of some old furniture for us! I have got over the fact that we couldn't sell every one (we massively overprinted cos it cost the same to print 10,000 as 5,000, but reading through a couple last night (I do like to torture myself with nostalgia!) they did seem to belong to a bygone pre-internet era when everything seemed more innocent and fun and a lot less cynical. But perhaps it's me that has got cynical - afterall I was in my early 30s when I started the mag and I'll be 56 in a couple of weeks!
A friend of mine consoled me with the thought that the market may have moved on but "you have moved with it", and yes I shall continue to make films for download that hopefully have some of the humour and fun the mags had (and have - they are still available for sale, remember, and there are still more than enough to last till I pop my proverbial clogs!). I am glad those who have bought the magazines maybe for the first time have enjoyed seeing how it all started and hopefully enjoyed their fun, irreverent attitude. I doubt anyone else will attempt a wet and messy only magazine so if you haven't seen one, get your order in now.

Re: SPLOSH!'s MASSIVE MAGAZINE CLEAR-OUT!!
Ahh, nostalgia ain't what it was. I must have been about 14 when you were born, Bill!
Last night I looked again, for the umpteenth time, at 'Pretty clumsy woman' and 'Sammy Jane on the job'; pirated from Television X on analog satellite TV. That was my first introduction to splosh on screen although I had been a fan of slapstick clowning since I was a very small child. Those two short films seem as fresh today as when they were made and started my admiration for Sammy Jane (who I have since had the pleasure of meeting in person).
I think that my active sploshing days may now be over but I will have memories through my remaining years of my messy encounters with several young ladies, mostly courtesy of Miss T at 'SploshAGirl'. And of course films, downloads, etc, from many producers.
Don't start celebrating my departure too soon though, I'll be loitering around the forums for a while so whatch your language!

You can't give up yet, Richard! You are one of the true gentlemen of sploshing. We'll have to arrange another session with Sammy at the studio for you.

Mmm! That was a day to remember; one of my greatest ambitions fulfilled!
I thought when I mentioned that I had pirated the films off TVX that you would tell me off

Re: SPLOSH!'s MASSIVE MAGAZINE CLEAR-OUT!!
Well, I suppose I should tell you off but TVX paid us handsomely to show them for three months, and ripping off Richard Desmond is laudable. However if you feel the need to pay us for all the hours of pleasure you have had from them, all contributions gratefully received. Beer accepted.

Re: SPLOSH!'s MAGAZINE CLEAR-OUT ENDS NEXT WEEK!
Was finally able to pick mine up yesterday and chuffed to bits with them except for minor 'problem(s)' of two copies of 29. Really good to find where some pics seen over the yrs online originated from.
Re: SPLOSH!'s MAGAZINE CLEAR-OUT ENDS NEXT WEEK!
Glad Royal Mail finally let you have your copies after their tour of Edinburgh sorting offices. Sorry about the two No 29s. Handy to have a spare in case the pages get stuck together.
