I've posted full map references to some that I've enjoyed in the past on my own site. (See link below.) They're in Cheshire/North Wales border area. Long country footpaths nice and quiet and usually very sloppy soft clay in places, though not deep (only shin deep, mainly) but very nice. Not sure just how dried out they'd be after the weather we've been having.
