I know from past threads that we have a small army of Sci Fi nerds (oops, I mean fans) in the Splosh community.

I'd like to urge anyone who hasn't seen it yet to go and see 'District 9'.

It's intelligent Sci Fi, the effects are amazing, the story is good (though flawed in places) and the acting is top notch. It's the best Sci Fi I've seen since Cloverfield. And if you love good movies with lots of explosions and action, then you'll want to see this one on the big screen.

Caution - quite a few scenes are not for the squeamish.

Cheers!

ps - and if you've seen it already, post your comments on this thread but lets try to avoid spoilers.

Cheers, been wondering about going to see this. Last film I saw in the cinema was star trek, so I'm one of them nerds :D

Awesome. Nerds of the world unite! (or should that be nerds assemble?)

Post on here after you've seen it. Let us know what you think of it.

Watched it a month or so back on first release.
Loved it, especially the pig flinging device.

I've heard of people who left after the first twenty minutes, citing it as a boring documentary. But that's when it all kicks off!
I thought it was brilliantly done - do go see!
