Think their may have been a problem on the site overnight Cedes, as comments that we hear last night have gone, including stuff I put up.

If Pup/Bill reads this can they have a look, might be a server problem, or something of that.

I'm sure Hayley, spoke about this on umd, last week. They could well be changing over hosts, so their might be a few techy thing to tweek. Sure it will get sorted.

Yeah I would guess that we've moved hosts! I did ask to be told so that I could make sure all the messages moved but unfortunately it looks like any they took between saving the old one and putting the new site live might have been lost. Hopefully its not too many and even though its early days the forum seems a lot faster.

Let me know if anything else is up

Yes, there are problems. Lots of missing posts from 25th to 27th August and all the pics are not showing, which when you click on them says that they have been deleted and showing a 404 server message.

yeah, looking back over ALL the posts going back months ALL the pics have vanished,plus so have a lot of avatars,hope they can all be recovered ok else this forum will be bare and 2 years plus of good pics and time wasted

It seems that the pictures are there. The links to the full size images appear where the thumbnail would have been, just no preview picture. The only ones that seem to be actually missing are the ones posted around the 26th.

While this isn't as dire as it could be, I would think this should also be a quick fix to reset all the thumbnail previews once all the other bugs get worked out.

I hope the issues get cleared but at least the images made it though the transfer. In the mean time has anyone tried posting new material to see if the thumbnails for the posts actually do appear?

At least new posts get the image generated correctly. Pray normalcy returns to the slosh pages in short order

If we where all clever enough to read the message Bill has left!!! how dumb are we...

If you look in the top of the forum Bill has made a thread sticky, where he tells us all what is going to happen. Might help if we read it!!! dumb or what!!!

If you click on the link, you will get the '404 File not found' message. This is true of all pictures prior to the change; also many Avatars have gone AWOL, as have complete threads during the change, and viewing records. The Bristol Splunch Vol. 2 had returned to page 1 due to the 'lost' threads and was up to 8813 views, but dropped back to just over 8000 and is slowly creeping back up.

Unfortunately I'm not too sure whether we can get the missing posts from the last few days back as I'd guess that they took a snapshot of how it was at a certain point and then any posts between then and the new host going live will have been lost.

The picture/avatar thing should hopefully be fixed soon! We/they are working on it!

Well, I did try to warn you guys. I must admit that I didn't think the photos would disappear - which I'm told they are working on - though there was bound to be a casualty or two of posts made during the transition period. Sorry about that, you may have to repost your pics Cede - we'd hate to miss them!

I can't post on my own blog either at the moment!!
