World custard pie championship 2008

Hi fellow wammers,

The 2008 world custard pie championships take place on June 15 at Maidstone in Kent. Details here http://www.wcpc.me.uk/

The entrance is £40 for each team of four. How about organising one or more teams, calling ourselves 'The Sploshers'?

Many of us have been to one or more meet-ups in London & elsewhere. Why not meet up at this organised event & chuck some pies around?

Interesting idea. Maidstone isn't far from Sploshworld.

Bill has been to the Championships in the past. I am sure he will be happy to regale you with stories about it sometime.

I'd be up for it, just need convice 3 of the Angels to come along and throw pies for a day...... Come on D, what do you reckon???? I'll speak to Sammi and organise something...

I checked out their site and it says this event has been going since 1967. I wonder what recipe they use for the pies. Also it is a shame that most of the participants in the gallery photos are men. It would be good to have a mens versus womens team pie fight.

God im surprised Sploshman has not taken the bate yet! Sounds like one for Sploshman to add to hes list to do's!

Anyway i might come down and watch and show my support if anyone is going to enter!
