i do think most people have an open mind to things like this. after all ya have to try somthing once to know you hate it if it intrigues you.

One way would be for you to cook dessert one day for you both and during the meal casually stick a finger in the dessert and dab a bit of it on her nose as if you are doing it for a laugh and see how see reacts.

From a slightly different perspective, my S.O. is aware of me wanting have some muddy fun and has even hosed me down after some particularly muddy bike ride :D

Now I'm waiting for it to rain for quite a few days so we can go for a walk. I've got a few routes planned and, all being well, hope to accidently on purpose slip up in a load of mud and land splat!!

I think this would be a good start to have a laugh and then say something along the lines of You know I've always wanted to do that. But guess what? it feels better than I thought!!

should I also attempt to pull her in if she tries to help me up?

all input / advice greatfully received

thanx

I'd be very careful about pulling her in, just in case you accidentally ruined something she really likes, or it's "beyond her cut-off point". Some people do like spontenaity though, so a hard one to call.

Deffo wouldn't pull her in. Women can be VERY fussy about clothes and stuff. If she is laughing, you could splash her a bit or caress her face with mudy hands and wait for the shriek. God, I'm sounding like Stonecastle. Hey, why not spit mud at her?

Probably a good call by bill there... wouldn't want to upset her. Maybe threaten to pull her in, and gauge her reaction though.

Thanks for the tips guys, all good advice and much appreciated. I've decided we'll have to go on a few walks when it's muddy and do nothing. If I get all muddy on the first time out it might look suspect so I'll give it half a dozen goes then... BINGO!!!

I'll let you know when it happens
