Here is another one . How I would have liked to have seen after the recent CH4 doc. Like them or not they sure know how to party,

THE BIG FAT MUDDY GYPSY WEDDING

After a recent TV documentary about gypsies, a reporter wanted to make her own film about another gypsy wedding. She was invited to report on the forthcoming wedding and arrangements of a gypsy girl called Maria.
She met her at the traveller’s caravan site where the wedding preparations were in full swing. Already were two large marquee's had been erected in a field beside the site. The reporter and her team met Maria and her mother, then they were shown around the site and caravan.
"We are going for our final dress fittings today" stated Maria, "oh, that sounds interesting,” replied the reporter. "Would we be able to see that?" She asked. "Yea. That's okay, isn't it mum?" "No problem" her mum replied. So Maria, her mum, the four bridesmaids (Maria's sisters and best friends) and the camera team set off to the dressmakers shop.
At the dressmakers, the girls sat down as the seamstress got everything ready. Firstly she. Handed out the underwear that the bridesmaids were going to wear underneath the dresses. Each girl was given a brand new white silk matching set consisting of bra, camisole, suspender belt, panties and stockings. They were then given a layered tulle petticoat. "Okay girls change into these, just to make sure the sizes are right then will give you your gowns and shoes to try on. When they we're ready, the dressmaker got the dresses out of the stockroom for the girls. They were white full organza ball gowns with sparkling decorated bodices. Each girl was handed a cap sleeved lace and organza bolero. When they were fully dressed, they came back into the room and they looked lovely. Each dress fitted perfectly and the girls were delighted. Maria was so pleased with them. Now it was mum's turn to try her dress on. After being given her underwear and shoes, the dress was handed to her and she went into the changing room to try them on. It was a beautiful full-length white chiffon dress. It was made of several layers and floated as she spun around. "Oh mum, its gorgeous, you look lovely. Like a million dollars". Marie sighed.
Now it was Maria's turn to dress. She was firstly handed her underwear. A beautiful white silk and lace Basque with matching panties and lace top stockings. She was then given her white multi layered, very full organza and silk petticoat along with her white sparkling satin heels. She went into the changing room to put these on and came back into the room to be helped on with the gown.
The dress was a magnificent white ball gown made from many layers of silk tulle with silk under skirts. The bodice was v necked (to show off her cleavage) and decorated with diamantes, sequins, seed pearls with sparkling straps. She was given a white long sleeved organza and lace bolero, also decorated to match the gown. Finally the long three-tiered veil was applied. It was edged with the same sparkling embroidery as the hem of her dress and bolero. She tried on her expensive sparkling diamante jewellery consisting of a tiara, matching necklace, bracelet and watch.
She looked absolutely gorgeous. The reporter was amazed. This is not what she had expected. She thought that a gypsy wedding would be tacky and tarty with huge ugly over the top dresses. Not these beautiful gowns and dresses that she had seen today.
After the reporter had been taken to the dressmaker to see the final fittings of the wedding gown, the bridesmaid dresses and the bride's mothers gown she was driven back to the caravan site, then outside to the two marquee's.
"Ok". Stated Maria.” This is where the reception is going to be held." The reporter was led into the first marquee. As you can see, it is in two parts. This is the part where we will be seated for the meal, speeches etc".
The marquee had been decorated stylishly, as if it was for some high society wedding and not for a common gypsy wedding.
The floor was made of highly polished wood and the tables were beautifully decorated with expensive accessories. The backs of the chairs were draped with white organza and ribbon swathes. The sides of the marquee had full-length pink and white silk drapes going up to the centre of the roof, also decorated with ribbons and balloons.
As with the gowns, the reporter was quite taken aback by this. She had not expected it to be done so tastefully. She had expected the whole thing to be cheap and tacky, but this was superb.
Maria continued. "This is the part of the reception that we organised, the clean part. But the other marquee has been organised by the men and it’s a completely different story. It's where the bar is. Maria led the reporter into the other tent.
It was just a plain huge almost empty tent. Behind a long screen at one end were the bar and the sound system. The bar was just a long plain wooden bench with dozens of beer pumps fitted on it. Plastic glasses were stacked up, with dozens and dozens of spirit bottles and mixers. "They just help themselves to this. It's a free bar". Maria told the reporter. " I bet there will be some drunkenness then", stated the reporter. "Oh god yes", Maria continued. "They will get completely off their heads. That's when it starts to get a little violent sometimes, and it’s not just the men either. That's why they put this behind a screen so that it doesn't go over if it kicks off.
Along another side of the tent were a few long tables and bench seats, but it was the floor of the tent that caught the reporter's eye.
It was just plain earth. Lightly compacted dark soil. "Look at the floor". Said the reporter. "Its just plain dirt". Maria smiled, "that's the whole idea. As the night goes on and more and more drinks get spilled, it will turn into mud. Can you see that hollow over there?” As she pointed to a large depression in one corner. "They are going to get a hosepipe to create a mud pit with a long mudslide going into it". The reporter was amazed to hear this. "Surely you won't be going into this tent then". She enquired. "Of course we will". Maria replied. "But aren't you going to get changed first. Your shoes and the hems of your skirts will get filthy". "Oh, I wouldn't worry about that. It won't just be our hems and shoes that get filthy and it won't just be mud", laughed Maria. "What do you mean"? Asked the reporter. "Well, I have heard that some of the lads have been getting a large supply of paint bombs and I have a funny feeling that the women and me are all going to be the targets". The reporter was horrified. "But what about your beautiful gown, your veil and bolero? Your gorgeous underwear. What about the other girl’s lovely dresses? They will all get ruined". Maria laughed again. "That's the idea. If we get covered in paint who cares about the mud. I can't wait to go down the mudslide in my full wedding attire. Anyway, what do I do with the gown afterwards? Where am I supposed to store the dress and the under skirts after this. Remember we are living in a caravan. We usually just chuck them out or burn them anyway. I am having the princess wedding I have always dreamed of, so after the formalities are over we can let our hair down and have some real fun without any worries about the dresses.
The reporter left rather bewildered at this, with an invite to report on the wedding in two days time. She was told about the strict dress code being applied. Women must wear either cocktail dresses with hats, or ball gowns. They must be pastel coloured and made from chiffon, tulle or organza. There is no dress code for the men.
The day of the wedding arrived and it was a lovely hot summers day. It was going to be a magnificent outdoor ceremony. The bride and her bridesmaids arrived, looking absolutely gorgeous in their beautiful gowns. The bride’s mother looked so elegant in her long white flowing chiffon dress. All of the other female guests we're superbly dressed in expensive pastel coloured chiffon dresses and ball gowns. Apart from the fact that the men just came in jeans, vest and tee shirts, this would have passed for any high society wedding
After the outdoor wedding ceremony and the photographs, the guests were taken into the first marquee for the reception meal, speeches etc. With the formalities over this just left the guests to enjoy the rest of the evening doing what is usually done at weddings. Drinking, chatting dancing and having fun.
As expected in gypsy weddings, the men sloped off into the bar tent to do some serious drinking. This left the women chatting and laughing in the reception tent drinking their champagne and cocktails. As the evening wore on the men started to get drunk and more rowdy. "Well, this is it." Maria exclaimed to her mother and friends. "I think they are ready. They sound well pissed so we know what's coming". She looked to her bridesmaids.”Are you ready for the grabbing?" This was something that the single girls often dreaded. Usually, one of the lads that they didn't really fancy, would try to grab a girl, drag her away and demand kiss. This sometimes got rather violent and nasty if the girl refused. Clothes got torn and as the bridesmaid were wearing rather delicate organza gowns and boleros. That was why the girls had chosen to wear bras and camisoles underneath the gowns in order to retain their modesty if this was to happen.
As if on cue, one of the lads wearing a beer soaked vest and jeans burst into the reception and grabbed one of the bridesmaids. He pulled her out of her seat and without any consideration for her, or the lovely white gown she was wearing, he dragged her across the floor and towards the beer tent with a tearing sound as he yanked at the layers of organza on her dress. She was shouting and screaming at him to let her go. When he had dragged her inside the beer tent, none of the men took any notice of her screams. In fact they just laughed and cheered and threw paint bombs at them, as the helpless girl was pulled across the now muddy floor desperately trying to escape. At last she got away, leaving him holding a large piece of material that he had ripped off her gown. She ran back into the reception with her. Muddy dress in shreds and paint splattered.
This was the start. Several more bridesmaids and girls were grabbed and also returned with their dresses torn and covered in paint and mud.
Maria looked at her mum. "Well, should I get it over with now?” "Yes." Her mum replied. Maria stood up, straightened her dress, adjusted her veil and gave one last look at her beautiful wedding gown and walked over to the beer tent knowing full well she was about to be destroyed.
With her elegantly dressed mother beside her, they entered the beer tent. By now the floor had turned into mud and as they squelched across the floor silence descended in the tent. Her new husband came across to meet them in his now beer soaked vest. He flung his arms around Marie and embraced her with a big Kiss. The music began to play and the newly married couple began to dance. This was the signal that the men had waited for and immediately the couple and the mother were hit by a barrage of Multi coloured paint bombs.
As they danced they were hit with several paint bombs. Her gorgeous gown now splattered in paint. Her face, veil and bolero coated and dripping off the layers of silk tulle skirts. As she wiped the paint out of. Her eyes she laughed and bent down to pick up a handful of mud, which she promptly flung at the men standing around. Soon a full-blown mud and paint fight developed with women wearing their lovely chiffon dresses hats and purses. The bridesmaids in the remains of their once pretty gowns throwing handfuls of black mud at each other whilst being bombarded with paint and mud from the men. Soon the women were being forcefully dragged through the mud and their outfits getting ripped and torn as they were thrown into the now full mud pit. Some of the lads had made the mudslide and with yelps of delight they flung themselves down the slide, landing in the deep mud pit at the end.
Maria noticed this and in her how paint soaked, mud splattered wedding dress she picked up the hems of her skirts and petticoats and ran to the top of the slide and flung herself down the slippery filthy mud. She shrieked in delight as she slid down and landed headfirst into the deep mud in her complete wedding ensemble. She emerged completely covered from head to foot inside and out in the warm black sticky mud. "Yes" she squealed. Soon her mother and some of the other girls joined her on the mudslide flinging themselves down the slide and landing in the deep mud emerging completely coated in the black mud.
Maria laughed when she saw her once elegantly dressed mother emerge from the mud Her beautiful white flowing chiffon dress totally destroyed.
This went on late into the night with drink, dancing, paint and mud it finally came to an end. Everybody in the tent was completely covered in mud. Every one of the women's dresses, gowns and outfits completely ruined. They were in shreds and 100 % coated in mud, but boy. What a time they had. Everyone agreed that was the best Big Fat Muddy Gypsy Wedding that had ever been staged.
