Anyone else spotted the thread for "Gunge tank hire" advertised on UMD (sorry to mention the opposition!).
Might be of interest to someone,

The trouble with gunge tanks I have found is that the person being gunged does not seem to get enough gunge on their face. I would prefer to see a gunge squirter that squirts gunge straight into their face.

Au-contraire, the problem with gunge tanks is that the gunge lands on the gungee's head and then sprays off sideways, covering the sides of the tank and blocking the view.

What's really needed is a mechanism that sprays gunge sideways over the gungee from shoulder level and below, while they're told to sit back to the main "drop" can miss their head and land in their lap, covering their legs and spraying over the front of their top as it splashes off.

At least that's how I'd do the one true gunging. Others may differ of course... 8)

Yes, I've always thought the bucket (or several) of whatever mess you choose thrown over someone works better visually than the gunge tank. It certainly feels amazing.

As probably a dissenting view on here, but i love gunge tanks. However you may think it leaves a lot to be desired, but its all about te delivery. I've seen bucket of gooo miss more than gunge tanks do. Gunge tanks have a lot to do with the victim inside of the tank, mostly an unwilling victim. Ones with slower streams of goo seem to cover more.... But not for stonecastle as he's yet to discover his perfect wam scenario, as he seems to be suffering from Goldilocks syndrome

A well aimed bucket can deffo do the trick esp, if somebody is pretty clean ,ie a few pies or a bit of gunge has been used, a well placed bucket in the face and down the front can really liven up a scene.

A sure way to make sure that the gunge goes all over the person would be for someone to mannually rub it all over the persons face, head and body while scooping hand fulls of gunge from a bucket. I'd like to do this to a woman.

Absolutely no shortages of volunteers for that in Pomland!

Do drop into Splosh! HQ if you make it in July. We may not have a gunge tank but we have everything else, including a mighty set of stocks!

Wamram, I agree with you about IKEA, but I had some contact with the Young Farmers clubs when I lived in Cumbria; believe me, if you think the folks on here are wild and uninhibited......................
