Another great old show was ' game for a laugh' anyone remember it? It had a bunch of messy stunts, mostly with guys being the victims but sometimes the women were lucky enough to get splattered. The Pie chair was the most famous. I liked the skit where they asked for a couple of volunteers
When the couple were on stage it was revealed that this. Next test would test women's intuition. I trolley of pies was then wheeled onstage to the crowds delight. ( everyone loves to see someone get humiliated. The husband then had to walk behind a contraption with 2 closed Windows's , placing his face behind one. The wife is then asked too pick up a pie and throw it , on the count of three, at one of the closed windows....the windows opening as she threw..get it!!!!
After a long build up she is asked if she will be using her intuition to go for a hit or miss. The laughing wife seemed always go for a hit.
Save to say things tended to end messily for the husband. Sounds like a fun game to try AT&T home!!!!

A Classic sketch was Sarah Kennedy's reenactment of the shower scene in phycho. Where instead of getting knifed she gets pelted with pies. At least the cleanup would have been easy!!!

Re: Game for a laugh
Game for a Laugh was a great show, real saturday night entertainment i remember Jeremy Beadle getting a "cement overcoat"(porrage type stuff tipped from a cement mixer into a bath he was lying in, total coverage) i wished it had been Sarah Kennedy. Love to re create that but there,s only so much mess you can do at home.
I wam what i wam.
