It saddens me greatly to report that Bill Shipton, the founder of this feast, died suddenly recently.

Further details, and news of the funeral arrangements, will hopefully follow in due course.

I'm too upset to think of anything witty or mucky to say.

I cant think of anything suitable to say. I am truly shocked and saddened.

I'm almost lost for words too.

This was the last thing I expected to read today, and now it'll be the last thing on my mind tonight.

This is so sad. Bill did more than anyone else to get me into splosh. I loved his sense of humour as well, and I love this forum. It has always been a friendly easy going place. I am only sorry I never met him

Such a shock! I started collecting the mags from issue no.2 can hardly believe it. So sad.

Bill played such a large part in my life although I was never privileged to meet him

in shock, upset and a great loss. im guessing this is why Alex lester was off from radio 2 as well
