Ok,

Let's move forward here.

This IS the place . . . to air ideas and take charge of this hot potato.

Solid plans and even itineries and general constructive point's of view are hopefully what this will yield.

This is a chance to start fresh and find way to make us diverse, not seperate. :D

Had a bit of an idea, may well need Leon's advice on this, how about a meet up when they are holding a Gunjee night would make sense can wear what you desire, get messy if you wish, beer available, esp for me and Easy!!! get em in...

Poss somewhere in the midlands or north of London to help with travelling its just a throw into the hat??

As I said I'm more than happy to volunteer any equipment to any event organised here!

Gunge tank, dunk tank, foam machines and pools!

But, unfortunatly, I can't bring the wam meets to actual gunjee events! The only gunjee event that people from here could go to would be the pool parties in the Astoria, for GAY! We only do one of those a year though!

Our reasons for non publicity of gunjee events was highlighted by a wam fan who turned up at the GAY pool party and harrased one of my gunjee girls all night! GAY is a gay event, an event where anything goes, that is one thing, our more mainstream nights are something completely diferent!
Obviously we don't ban wam fans from coming, but we don't promote them to the wam forums!

I'll see what i can do to find a venue, not holding out much hope though, the only suitable London venue I have dealing with is The Astoria, way, way to big for us! People in London are better placed!

I have the same problem in Manchester Leon, I having been looking for a year for somewhere to hold messy events, the indoor filiming is mostly done in my kitchen!!!

If could locate somewhere I would let you all know straight, myself and Miss Helen would love to find somewhere bigger to shoot/hold events I will keep looking, plus i'm northern and always want it for free!!!

Yeah a gungee meet would be great. Do they supply overalls for us to change into or would we have to bring our own.

I once saw a gunging in real life about ten and a half years ago when I went to see Noels House Party being filmed in Battersea Park. Ordinary members of the public took part in the event. No overalls were provided but they did supply towels for people to rub the gunge off with. It was when they did the phone box part and two people had to dial the right number in two phone boxes. In the event this attractive women got gunged.

Disappointment doesn't even cover how I view this post.

I didn't mention grammar or spelling, I mentioned phrasiology and semantics.
I also thought the implication was to stop nit-picking.
Maybe you highlighting an incorrectly placed apostrophe was a joke, in which case ' my bad ' for not realising.

Can everyone grow up and stop trying to score points, or shall we start ANOTHER fresh thread in a bid to find a soloution to the Alternative meet ?

As for ' Go Get Him ? ' . . . . . What is that about ? . . . . . . .

. . . . . . now, if we all feel that I have been sufficiently ' got ' can we get back to putting forward ideas for something that has not actually been resolved yet ?

I did come across this (no, not like that, Madam!) North East of Piccadily Station;
http://homepages.tesco.net/~jonathan.fi ... lastic.htm (from http://www.thewrestlingfactory.com/ )

£35 per hour is maybe a little pricey for a room of that size, but it is well set up for chaotic messy fun.

Another idea I'd love to do some time, which I also mentioned at the Warrington meet, is to organise a trip to the "World's Muddiest Assault Course" in Wales ( http://www.clynefarm.com/activities/challengevalley.htm ). Mud galore, cleaning facilities, they've even got accomodation available. If enough people are up for it (the sort of numbers that have been showing up to the meets lately would be plenty, though the more we get the cheaper it'll be), I'm happy to do the donkey work booking a party. An option for next year, perhaps?

Helen

Wow! I've never even heard of that muddy assault course before. It looks like an amazing day out and what an amazing idea too. Very clever of the people who set it up.

What struck me as I looked through their picture archive was how many large groups of girls go there - hen nights and birthdays etc.

It's a perfect way for WAMmers to have very public messy fun in a scenario where nobody will bat an eyelid - because you're just having a laugh there like everyone else who goes.

I'd love to go to that.

Phantom

(Actually, a few times I've gone paintballing when it's been raining in recent days, and that's also a great excuse to dive full length onto your belly in squishy mud without anyone giving it a second thought).

Absolutely right DD, I won't reply to your point, but I will take the opportunity to say this is the last you will hear from me in this thread
or on this topic for a very long time.

You think I am too serious, then fine.
It's really only an opinion at the end of the day but when people offer concilliation then it is poor form to kick them just for a cheap joke.

It can't be said that I haven't tried to help sort this out.

It'd be a bit of a local tie for Leon & co too, being just round the bay from Bristol.

(Adopts best Tubbs impression) - I want to go to Swansea!
