Off topic: Bill's Brain Latest!

Hi everyone

Just prior to the Bristol munch, I posted here that I wouldn't be able to attend cos I had just been told I might have a brain tumour, and was being sent for MRIs, EEGs and lots of other acronyms that involve being put in or attached to machines to test for signs of imminent death. Well,it is now official, all they have found is custard, crap jokes and a lot of completely useless information handy for pub quizzes. I DO NOT HAVE A BRAIN TUMOUR. So, (and this may be a bit of a disappointment to those who wish Splosh! would be taken over by some young, fit blonde lady) I'm not dying just yet.

I thought I'd mention this before the London Munch to try and halt any rumours that may or may not be circulating about my clogs popping in the immediate future.

Don't worry, I am not expecting any replies to this beyond, possibly, the words of those great philosophers The Anti Nowhere League, "So fucking what?"

Thanks for your patience
Bill

PS It's a great song, by the way.

After having a lot of less good tidings recently about various friends and relatives :( , that's totally brilliant news, Bill!!! (You must have been scared witless with all those tests, I know I would have been!).

I'm delighted and relieved to hear the news that your brain is its usual (I daren't say normal) chaotic, anarchic self, firing on a variety of cylinders on a fuel mix ofcustard, humour, and useless info.

Glad to hear too that its owner had his mood lightened by the chat of fellow attendees at the St. Len's Munch last night.

Here's to the next decade ...

Mostly lurk these days. No wish to turn things all mushy ( just realised the irony of using that word on this forum! ) nor to impinge on Bill's machismo etc in stoically dealing with things.

But I am!

Very glad results are positive and here's wishing you a long and messy time ahead.

Get embarrassed if you like, but I do not think I'm alone in saying that Mr Shipton made ( and continues ) a very real and positive contribution to the messy fetish community. I speak in the past tense only because that is how it effected me personally. The realisation that I wasn't alone and that someone actually had the guts/ brass neck  to bring things out into the open made a great difference to me. Not just what he did/does, but the way he does it - I doubt he'll ever believe it, but his 'style' ( obviously not talking dress sense here guys ) is much underated.

Thank you

+1

A major moment in my life was discovering Splosh magazine (courtesy of FHM) and thinking "it's not just me".
You are a hero sir and I wish you a speedy recovery! :-)

Eeeh, stop it. I'm filling up. And not just my pants.

OK, quick serious bit. I must admit there is nothing quite like a reminder of your mortality to make you realise what is important in life - and strangely perhaps all things sploshy was one of them for me. If you can't have fun and (hopefully) provide it for others, what's the point?
