Hello,

A good night had by all involved as always.

Here is the list - In any order...
:D
Easy_as
Gunge_Slut
Driversoft
Wamadeus
James
MudMadMel
SlimJay
Sotonude
EssexGungeFan
Andy250
MangoChutney
Also 2 others, sorry i forgot your names but you know who you are - lol - sorry if i forgot anyone else.

So not a full house on this occasion but still a good result for a Saturday.

Sadly the venue was not to most peoples liking, loud music pretty much overridden the conversations. So gone around half eight/nine we re located to another pub down the road for a good old fashioned natter.

Stonecastle: sorry you missed us but we did have a fair few maps floating about on our table, always next time :)

About Saturday meets: They just don't seem to have the same vibe as a weeknight meet. so the original London meets will pretty much be sticking back to weeknights from now on. Also we seem to find the turn outs alot better and also seems to have a better atmosphere.

Thanks so much to everyone who did make it, see you at the next one.

Cheers :)
J

Me and Cede did put our heads in and had a quick drink around 7pm on the way home but to be honest we didnt like the atmosphere in there and that music (noise) completely put us both off so we didnt have a good look around, Cede could'nt see anyone she recognised from the bar area.

If you did see 2 blonde girls at the bar dressed the same in Black Leather Jackets, Jeans and Thighboots around this time that was us.(and loads of bags  )

Kisses

Chants,

Sorry you missed us and by definition to have missed you too.

I arrived at about 7-7.30pm myself but had my long brown leather coat on, thus hiding the infamous shirt ! You may have noticed the coat at the bar and not realised it was me !

Hopefully next time then !

I have to agree, the venue wasn't great as it was unnecessarily loud background music.

As for Saturdays' , well for all the debate, they still don't appear to be right.

BUT . . . . . . it was a good night all the same for those of us that did manage to gather, as always !

:D

I did see you then!!!! I remember thinking i saw you standing at the bar we where on the table alsmost right in front of you.

The first pub was a bit mad so we decied to jump ship about 08:45 ish the n we went up the road to another pub, know by Easy As, and their we nattered for most of the night, it was really nice to meet everybody again and make some new friends.

Plus Easy's footy team lost!! so he went into depression for all of one min.

Oh he also nearly caused a bomb scare!!!! quite a talented man really.

regards

Andy

By the way was there a woman wearing a red jumper sitting at your table? I saw one group of peopel sitting around a table but didn't know if that was people from here or not as there were other groups of people sitting together throughout the pub.

The pub we went to, nice as it was, was called The Champion,
whilst not being in the plural, the irony of the name has just hit me, as Arsenal are now all but out of the title race . . . . . ( prays hard for a miracle !)

. . . . how could I stay sad for long in such a great bunch of people !

As for the bomb scare, well I had nipped out to fetch over someone from the original pub, after they called me up . . . .
. . . . . . at the same time as we were just decamping to a few free seats and in the distraction the bag was forgotted about, what can I say . . . . . ? ! ! !

Talent for sure . . . . . . . and I still got the music question right too !

:D

yep, and their was a fat bloke in a blue t-shirt sat next to her, that was me.

I just remembered about the music question and the two pictures in the stained glass in the pub, their was myself and easy saying who are they??? When Wamadeus say 'read the bloody title above it!!'

I blame the beeer myself, was a nice pint in the second pub Easy good little find that.

There was, you should have tried your luck as it managed to catch your eye !

Mind you, it's a bit of a random guess . . . . .

I was sitting at a table next to that group with four women on it for a while. I knew roughly what your group should look like a largish group about 80 per cent men. So I was on the look out for a group of about 15 people with about three women in it.

Hi James and all involved in the latest meet

10+ is a great attendance figure, and it sounds like a great night once you shifted to a more suitable venue (I suppose choosing a venue can be a bit hit and miss - you can't know for sure if it'll be suitable or not until you try it out).

Wish I could have been there for a few beers.

No Sploshman present, sir? That's a surprise! He may not be punctual, but he's usually present!

Good luck with the next meet up too. Hope you can find a solution to the people who've recently gone to meets but not met up.

After wandering around the pub, waving my A-Z about like a lunatic  , I settled in the raised area as instructed, only to be invaded by some rugger mad New Zealanders  . Eventually I was found by Mango Chutney and directed to where the main bunch were sitting. Another 'mistake' was to sit next to Driversoft who made my brain hurt by showing me some of his card tricks :) .

All in all though I enjoyed my trip to the metropolis and it was great to be able to put faces to the people whose posts I have enjoyed so much. I was sorry to have to leave so early but I didn't want to get back to Southampton too late (it's my age, you know, - poor old bugger  )

I will certainly come to the next one (in a quiet pub please!)

Richard

It was good to meet you all.....I was only there from 4 to 5 30, but also enjoyed Driversofts card tricks. They had me stumped.

Will try to turn up for the next meet and stay longer next time.

cheers all
