I am sorry I have been a bit quiet on the production front over the last few weeks. The reason sounds far more melodramatic than the reality. My GP decided that I might have a brain tumour! I made the mistake of mentioning to her that I get migraines and dizzy spells when stressed and suddenly I was being 'fast-tracked' (not that quick as it goes) through every test the NHS could think of including MRI and EEG (the latter held in a former asylum in Haywards Heath, so I can say I have visited a looney bin - something that won't surprise many!). This has been both worrying and time consuming, hence my lack of output.
The good news is that the tests are over (I think) and so far nobody's found anything beyond a head full of custard and crap jokes, so hopefully I can get back to 'work'. In the meantime, I have, of course been sending out DVDs, magazines etc to those who order them from our shop at http://www.splosh.co.uk/shop/index.php? ... ommon/home, and it was whilst I was digging out a particular back issue, I found a batch of colour prints I had completely forgotten about. They have never appeared here or in the mag and so I thought I would rectify this now
They were taken at a shoot we organised for a TV company (I can't even remember who) at least 12 years ago and shot at David Glew's studio in London. The set stars Georgie and a mate of hers from Hastings and never appeared in the magazine or subsequently on the website. So, I thought I'd rectify this right away. They are only colour prints (remember them? How technology has improved!) so the size and quality is a bit rubbish but they are an interesting bit of history.
Incidentally I have literally hundreds of photos (mainly near rejects from sets) that haven't appeared in the mag or online in the dreaded Splosh! basement - a nice little scanning job for my retirement. NOT THAT I AM PLANNING TO JUST YET (though the NHS may have other ideas if Tubby the Tumour does ever put in an appearance!).
Enjoy

Hi Bill,
I have only just caught up with this thread. i hadn't realised you had had such a health scare. I'm glad nothing came of all your tests. Wphew!!! Fingers crossed for the future.

Just like the war wound, I don't like to talk about it, Caroline!
Trust me, you only have to ask anyone in my pub who has heard me ranting and complaining (I like to think of it as 'riffing'!) about everything from the noise MRI scanners make to the joy of coming home with glue-filled hair after an EEG (at least we offer a shower!), to know I have done nothing else!

Great pics, Georgie always seemed to enjoy herself!
And glad you're doing OK Bill, I can't imagine how scary it must have been...

Re: Unseen Georgie Set from the Splosh! Archives
No final results from 'head' quarters yet, but I have at least nailed my impaired fasting glycaemia (pre type 2 diabetes). It is no more. Seems losing four stone (56lbs) and getting my BMI down from 34.6 (obese) to 25.9 (near enough right for my height) has solved the blood/sugar problem. So I may still go mad but at least I am no longer made of toffee.
