I think you may be in a very small minority. Mud is a versatile medium; besides Val's excellent pictures, you should try looking at Mercedes' or Chantelle's contributions for a very different aspect of the subject.

Try to be open minded and enjoy all the varieties of Sploshing and WAM; from Natrosol to eggs; shaving cream to baked beans; real custard pies to paint, etc. We are a broad church and embrace almost all sorts equally. :)

Now you are talking. Here is the recipe by the way:

10 eggs, beaten
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 quart scalded milk
1 tablespoon butter

Scald milk and butter. Let cool and then add to egg mixture composed of eggs, sugar, nutmeg and vanilla extract. Pour mixture into pie crust-lined (deep-dish) 9-inch pie plate. Place in a 450 degrees F preheated oven. Bake 20 minutes only. Turn heat completely off. Let pie stand in oven for 1 hour.

perhaps a forum where everyone uses nothing but custard pies? would that be a nice christmas present?

thanks for the recipe. im rather good at baking myself, but when it comes down to it, the slippery sensual feeling on my skin is what matters, or the clinging to the clothes.

oh, by the way val, crackin pics!
