I bought a jet wash before Christmas and realised it could make as much mess as it cleaned so here is a little idea of how to use one destructively.

Oh now that is a good idea... Just need to find somewhere to make it bigger and deeper! Thanks for a great tip!

Very ingenious and it does seem to be a very nice sloppy mix but could I just warn people not to do that too close to a building. It looks like you have a modern building, presumably with concrete slab foundation. However, other buildings (particularly pre-WW1 and earlier) will only have a few spreader bricks as foundation and you would risk causing subsidence if you do it that close to the building - very expensive to deal with and no way the insurance would pay for it as it would be very obvious that it was 'self-inflicted' when they sent someone out to inspect. 10/10 for ingenuity though!

It is a great idea.........but the hole does need to be much bigger and deeper. Sorry, but more digging required!

Unfortunately I would love to go bigger but not there. Our garden is overlooked on all sides and it was risky enough doing that sequence. If anyone wants to dig a bigger pit I would be more than happy to come round and try it out.
