Off Topic: Bill has a Hernia

Hi

Thought you might be amused to know that the Old Git is now officially an Old Git - cos it appears he has a hernia!

He went to the doctor this week with a lump which he was convinced was cancer or a complication of his Crohns disease, and determined he was going to die - or at least spend weeks in hospital - when the doctor diagnosed it.

Apparently he practically jumped up and down and cheered, and his Dr said that he was the happiest she'd seen anyone who had just been told they had a hernia. He is going to get it operated on, but under the NHS so probably not for about a year.

The good news is that he will be around filming and generally misbehaving as usual (something he seriously thught he wouldn't be) until then.

And you, like me, thought that bulge at the front was all beer and chips (no, not that bulge, silly!).

Thanks for the 'Get Well' messages but I'm really not ill. It doesn't hurt, it just looks like an addition to the beer gut. And though I have signed up to get it dealt with, it will be months yet before it is sorted.

Oh and as for the truss jokes...it is not down there (thank god) but just above my navel. Phew!!

I am delighted that it wasn't anything worse though.

Glad turned out to be minor - that being a relative term! ( eye of the sufferer etc )

There is no scientific measure of 'wimpness' - because its all relative. If you are scared or worried by something, its important to you. So I am sure you will brush of the 'apparent' lack of concern on the part of others.

Fearlessness? Courage? How about producing a magazine that deals with what to many was a dark secret fetish that made them feel pervy and very isolated. How about unashamedly putting your name and face to it and saying - 'look - this turns me on - so what'. How about appearing on TV countless times and simply being what you are?

Wish I had those kind of guts ...... er no pun intended! :lol:

It was partly my mistake. I forgot to log out on the computer before my half asleep colleague took over.

Anyway since he has corrected it and your post wasn't relevant any more I took it off.
