Wimbledon is fast approaching so here at Messy Mayhem while the Tennis Pro’s kick of the grass court season we thought we’d do our own version kicking off the gunge court season. Replace Serena Williams with Eden (not the red haired beauty, this one has an a dirty laugh, is a bit evil and has been known to work with Miss T) and Maria Sharapova with Lolly, the clever striking of the ball with verbal dexterity, the grunting with giggles and the trophy with gunge for the loser and you have Verbal Tennis which is Episode 31 Part 1 up now on the download store at http://www.messymayhem.com

The rules are as follows the Annabelle (our own less orange version of Sue Barker) gives the girls a word (for instance pot), Eden must then come up with a word beginning with the last letter of that word (for instance tea) and then Lolly must then come up with a word beginning with the last letter of that word (for instance apple). They volley back and forth between each other until one of them hesitates in which case I call the ball out and they lose that point. We’ve kept the same scoring system as tennis and the first person to win the game gets to cover the other girl in our finest gooey gunge. The loser got blue, green, pink and orange gunge all poured very slowly and described the experience as “heaven”. Was it Eden’s nifty footwork at the net that won her the match or was the sight of Lolly bouncing around in her bikini enough to sway the umpire into making line calls in her favour?
