Hello, I was just recalling Last Christmas and in particular the great efforts by Splosh and Gilly’s Silly House (my 2 fav sites). We had a bumper selection of goodies including including the return of Sammy-Jane and Clown Julie (2 Sploshing legends!!!) and of course some fantastic clips with Gilly (including one with Sammy!)
I thought the build up to all this last year was excellent & both sites generated a lot of good spirit (or should that be lots of spirits!).
I wonder if they have anything as exciting planned this year?
I would love to see Clown Julie back in a 2 girl pie fight with Gilly (or DD!)
Or maybe the return of another Splosh legend!!!!
They have set their standards high by previous material so I guess we will have to wait and see.
I have my fingers crossed

(Oh & don't moan - its less than 2 months away ya know!)

We certainly hope to have another Clown Julie epic on GSH and other surprises. We like the idea that it's like Christmas TV in the 70s...all your favourites appear!

So plenty of time for nominations....or should that be a message to Santa?

Well, Bill

Are you still in touch with any of the pre-sammy girls? Lorraine, Carol, Debbie, Mirrel, Melanie, Rachel?

Would also LOVE to see the return of Emma or April

I remember fondly the excitement generated by getting the Xmas edition of the Radio Times in the 1970s and reading it through making a note of all the telly shows and films that could contain some slapstick. There was always a circus but the best was the Xmas specials of some of the favourite shows. There was always more of everything and special guest stars. If SPLOSH could do something similar then it would be brilliant.

My vote would definitely be for Clown Julie and Gilly to recreate one of the traditional pantomime slapstick routines using loads of extra custard pies and buckets of gunge. That would really be special.

I love the idea of doing a traditional panto act such as the decorators as in 'S-J on the job' but using different people (Not that I have anything against Sammy or Louise, - they are both legends) but for the newer lovelies, what about DD and Mouse? Or for the nostalgia freaks such as me, what about Vicky Ford and Jo Bache.

Thinking about 'S-J on the job' has reminded me about the great food fight scene in 'Pretty Clumsy Woman'. Fabulous! :D

I think (Santa) Bill got it dead right. It really was like Xmas TV from the 70's last year with so much going on at the Silly -House. It was certainly more exciting than what terrestrial TV had to offer here in the UK!
I agree with Ralph and Sotonude in that a traditional Sploshy Style Panto Sketch would be fantastic.
To add to my previous msg (Clown Julie, Sammy Jane!!!), I would also love to see the return of Jo Bache, and Louise L’Amour.
But like I said - any of the Splosh Legends would be great and get all us Sploshers jumping for joy!

No pressure at all Bill 8), Just a few of us oldies indulging our fantasies :). Anyway, we wouldn't put pressure on a man in such a delicate state of health, would we chaps?

No, certainly not!! But if you could organise for a messy re-union of the entire original line up of Legs & Co., then all will be forgotten.

I believe the correct expression is "LOL"

Whilst I'm sure he's lapping it up - and will almost certainly make the most of it - you really don't need to worry about Bill's 'delicate state of health'. In his words..."It doesn't hurt at all unless I drink about a bottle of scotch and then it gets a bit sore..."

However availability of ex-models (and working with some of them again) might raise his already astonomical blood pressure a few points!

But I too am glad you liked the Christmas Viewing on GSH idea. Seventies Xmas TV rocked (as Dolly would say).

This Xmas!

All I can say is, I'm sure the Silly House Line up will be far more exciting than what BBC1 has to offer (which apparantly, is another Green Green Grass of Home Xmas Special!!!)

Clown Julie rules!!!!! As does Gilly & Sammy-Jane!
