Surprises on the telly

My partner is addicted to cookery programs on TV, especially competitions. I wandered into the lounge to see her tuned into 'Come dine with me' and there was 'Mouse', as large as life, taking part. I suddenly became interested in a program I wouldn't normally watch! She didn't win, in fact she came last, but I got grilled as to how I recognised her!

I told the truth of course (Fingers crossed behind my back!). I said, honestly, that I had met the lady at a London Meet (2009 I think) but couldn't remember her name. :| I 'failed to remember' the great session we had at SploshAGirl though   .

Yes, Mouse was on "Come Dine with Me" billed as something like "performance artiste" (now there's a performance we'd all like to watch etc etc). Errr...and at the risk of being egotistical, so was I - nearly! I had an e-mail from the producers saying they were about to film in Hastings and would I like to take part? I'm afraid I said no. Something to do with being totally unable to cook, not wanting my house filmed and seeing how they work (they would have found others who hated me to make it more 'interesting' - as they did to some extent with Mouse). Sorry. Yes, it would have been great to end with a huge food fight but I will just have to make our own version instead!

Yeah, we've seen the one with Mouse on in the past - nice use of the selective memory there Richard

A CDWM me spoof would be a good laugh, I can only imagine Bill's naration...

Would dare compete with CDWM's Dave Lamb! He's excellent (even if somebody else does write a lot of it for him).

He is. Probably the highlight of the show most of the time, but he's not commentating on girls chucking food over each other...
