Tricky ones

I dont know if this is just me, but I have three categories of girlies, based on splosh/fanciability! (maybe the ladies have a similar one for the guys!)

Firstly, the "yes please!" who you would love to, then the "hell no" no further explanation needed. However, there is a middle group, where either a, I cant make my mind up if I fancy them or not, b, pleasant looking but dont, somehow do it for me and c, sometimes look nice and I think, mmm yes, in another picture they then look, no, I dont think so. :D

A few examples, Lily Allen, Lady Gaga, Fiona Bruce, Julia Bradbury, Rihanna, Kirsty Allsop, Jennifer Aniston.

Anyone else have this dilemma? :?

Hmmm,

I think you've picked some quite good examples. I can't quite put my finger on it either, but I think it's something to do with them conveying a certain amount of masculinity (even just a tiny amount) and/or a sense of over familiarity. A bit like when you have an attractive female friend that you like, but eventually know so well, you don't fancy them anymore.

It's interesting that at one point, I thought I fancied Fiona Bruce, but I realised it was Jan Ravens doing an impression of Fiona Bruce on Dead Ringers that I found sexy (and Jan Ravens has taken one or two pies for that matter!). The real Fiona Bruce, whilst having quite a pretty face, to me seems a bit cold and angular. I quite fancied Kirsty Allsop until she became over-exposed - and a bit annoying - the comedy 'posh girl' appeal then wore off (Give me Sarah Beeny any day. She is sex).

Many years ago, Viz comic did a similar thing rather more sexistly (is that a word?) entitled "Borderline Boilers". I've always liked them, mainly cos they are often the sort of women with sufficient sense of humour to "get" sploshing. As for Kirstly - since she became a Tory spokeswoman she has lost any appeal.
