After the first successful Essex mud meet Dazuk Is proud to announce the second UK Essex meet for the weekend of Sat/Sun August 27th & 28th 2011.

It will be taking place with a drink and chat in Chelmsford, Essex from 4pm on the 27th then onto the steak house next door for some excellent food.
On Sunday the 28st we will all meet from 12pm for a quick drink & chat befor making our way to the local mudflats for some messy fun and laughs (THE SUNDAY MUDFLATS DETAILS WILL BE GIVEN ONLY TO ANYONE WHO IS THE SATURDAY PART OF THE MEET!!).

I would also like to point out the mudflats will not be the same ones we used for the last meet but are just as good if not better


It will take place from 4pm at the Fox & Raven Pub, Barnes Mill Road, Chelmsford, CM2 6NL (off Chelmer Village Rd), Chelmsford Essex


Will be having a bite to eat at the Miller & Carter stake house next door after chat and drinks if anyone's interested from about 8:30pm

Travel Options are as follows........

By Train
Chelmsford station is only a 30 min journey by train from Liverpool St, London. and the cab ride from Chelmsford station to the pub is 7 mins away.

By Road
Very good road access from J28 of the M25 then just a 15 min drive up the A12 to Chelmsford

Hotels
All the main hotels are in Chelmsford inc. Travelodge & Premier Inn and are only five mins away drive from the pub.

Sunday Mud Meet
Will be about a 20min drive from Chelmsford. Anyone traveling by train will be given a lift to the clay pits and returned to Chelmsford if required.

Keep your eye out for the yelloy atlas of the uk that should be sitting on our table all day so you no who we are.

You may find that you get more takers if it was not restricted to those who can make both days,I for one have a normal life to lead and cant give up two days for an houre or two of mud fun plus the cost of a hotel for the night

I dunno what else is going on in Chelmsford that weekend - but shame about the hotels for the Saturday night: -

Premier Inn - nearest available is Braintree - 13.7 miles and £78.00
Travelodge - nearest available is Basildon - 10.1 miles but £86.00

There is no Hotel Ibis or Novotel anywhere near, and of the 18 hotels listed for Chelmsford on laterooms, 15 are full and the other three are over £85.00

... so I doubt I shall be there.

Think Dids knows of one in and around the area that i was gonna stay in for the last one and it only cost around £29 i think. So get in touch with him and i'm sure he'll fill you in

Ok the Essex meet will still go ahead on the same date 20th &21st August but now down the road in Braintree Essex at

There are many smaller hotel's in and around the braintree town all within a 5min drive of the pub

The pub meet will still take place at 4pm and the mud meet on the Sunday will still be from 12pm at the pub leaving around 1pm for a short drive to the mud location

The main reason for the change of location is due to the flood of hippies that will be in Chelmsford on the same weekend of our meet

Bad news - only just found out that my mates wedding is on Aug 20th so can't make the drinkup bit .

Will be down for the Sunday mud bit tho

I would love to go for the mud but like others won't be able to make two days, I will try and sort the sunday mud though.... if anyone is going from north/midlands for the mud though can you let me know via PM if you could do a possible pick up on the way? Cheers.

would love to try and make it, but traffics going to be horrendous with it being V festival. i would seriously think about changing it from that weekend as i know festival traffic/hotel prices WILL put people off

A quick intro as I will be coming along to the meet. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and obviously the mud too . This is just the occasion for a new raincoat, right?

Now can't make the new dates for the meet as i already have a few things planned for the bank holiday weekend.
