Hi all!

Well, I've dabbled with the idea crossdressing once or twice, and at some point definitely want a WAM session while all dressed up.

Basically, I'm not sure about sizes - how do you guys find the sizes of women's clothes compare to men's clothes?

This one for Helen, jo, Caroline and Mandy to chat too you about as for me its easy the biggest size they do. The clothes Miss Helens brings round I almost nearly stop breathing trying to get in. I do have some blouses and skirts that fit etc.

i'm very lucky, i'm not that tall and i am a good size for a woman,
if you are a brave chap and dont give a toss if anyone knows you CD then a confident smile will get you free run of most shops LOL
when i started out buying womens stuff and before i was as carefree and confident to ask to try on stuff i used to goto quite charity shops and try on stuff and get to know the sizes
these days its more embarassing when some one asks me my size in mens sizes as i really don't remember off hand, being 5 foot 8 i find womens jeans fit me better anyway,

personally im

size 5 1/2 womens shoe which is 40 mens or 6
size 10/12 tops / skirts/ dresses which is for me a 32 inch waist, 36 inch cheast ( 34 D ) bra, 36 inch hips

one thing that i find with womens tops is the arms can be tight some times as us blokes tend to have bigger arms

i suppose its different for everyone

Oh and most shop assistants have seen it all before so i doubt you are likely to shock them, so if you are nervous of that pick the more mature women shoppies
but if you like to tease and have a giggle the pick the young assistants

athrun, where are you most likely to get your womens clothes and shoes from?, and are you nervous or carfree about public shopping for womens stuff


its not worth trying to pretend that they are for a wife or girlfreind when talking to an assistant, for one they will probably see through it and two you might get the wrong size info LOL

I simply can't bear the idea of going into shops and searching for fem stuff. I know it's silly but that's the way I am and I know I'm not alone!

So I've used eBay and, bargaincrazy.com. I used to use Great Universal too, for which BargainCrazy was the clearance arm. However, since they've been sold to Littlewoods, the Great Universal products all seem to be big brand with prices to match, though I dare say there are cheaper brands within the group (haven't checked).

The advantage of BargainCrazy is that it's usually dirt cheap as they've got a warehouse to clear so you can afford to get a couple of sizes and chuck the wrong size out to a charity shop but stuff appears and disappears by the hour (especially large enough shoes!). I picked up a lovely diagonally-cut off the shoulder black dress from bargaincrazy for about £5 while it was still in the main catalogue at about £50! (Left hand - right hand - no connection there!) Too good to splosh with though.

There are 2 or 3 couples who are very close friends and who have seen me en femme so I often have stuff delivered to them as I don't exactly want it delivering to my neighbours when I'm out!

I find that, because we tend not to go in and out in the right places, I should take a size 12 bottom half with a size 14 upper half (to allow for the wider back and deeper shoulders) but for stretchy dresses and skirts, I often take a 10 for the slinky feel. (It probably doesn't look sensible though.) I'm about 34" waist and about 38" chest, I think. (Can't remember chest size - it's usually all 'medium' these days!)

Stretch waistbands (pull-on style) skirts are the way to go as, when you get the right size for your bum, you won't be able to do up a normal waistband (zip or button) as our waists don't pinch in. Conversely, if you get something to fit your waist, you'll find it far too baggy round the bum. Stretchy lycra is an advantage (and feels gorgeously sexy! ) but can make you look like a sack of potatoes if you're not careful or prone to being that shape to start with.

yeah, cataloge buying is a good way too, as you can order a few sizes then send back the ones that are wrong. i've never done this though cos i prefer to go out and buy stuff

alot on finding out the sizes at the start depends on how brave or what your personal situation is at home

even so ordering from cataloges once you do know your size you mostly would still have to order a couple of sizes then return the others, something i cant be arsed to do.

but in all for first time buyers charity shops are good start, for one the mistake buys can be cheaper, unless you are cool with tying on
and they can be really quite

if you are nervous of other shoppers then tyr weekdays before the kids come out of school
especially if you intend on trying on in charity shops, little kids can be curious and nose and say stuff adults wouldn't
ever worse you could get them pulling back curtains to see whats in there, its quite funny to see a sprog yank back a changing room curtain when someone else is in there.

I don't quite have the courage or confidence to buy from a shop yet I might look into it in the future, but at these early stages, I've found eBay is a god send.

I ordered a couple of bits and pieces last week, and discovered (mostly) I'm a Size 12 - the stuff seems to fit pretty well, and feels comfortable, without being too snug.

Once I've plucked up the courage, I might post a few pics of my early days, maybe even getting messy while dressed up. I don't know if I'd have the courage to post facial pics just yet though!
