Wam Music?
Looking for suggestions for 'classic' soundtrack music appropriate to Messy Slapstick comedy skits - the obvious example is Yakkety Sax, but can anyone offer others?

Re: Wam Music?
Hi Nick,
- "Spanish Flea" by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass well suits slapstick (he also did the theme to "It's a Knockout" - real title "Bean Bag").
Perhaps a bit too synonymous with them but "Cuckoo", Laurel and Hardy's signature tune.
There are more. I'll have to have a look...

Re: Wam Music?
Here are a couple more jaunty numbers:
"The Black and White Rag" (Theme from "Pot Black") by George Botsford (played by Winifred Atwell in a "honky-tonk" style)
"Nashville Skyline Rag" - Bob Dylan (instrumental) from Nashville Skyline 1969 - Sounds implausible but think Benny Hill/country and western...

Oh, and on the subject of music (tenuously) here's my spoof Top of the Pops 60s-70s album cover...
