Illness made me realise I had to try WAM

Postby mollyanna » 06 Oct 2006, 22:11

My first post here, although, I have been monitoring for a while now. I was diagnosed with MS two years ago, I am 38, male and while this has changed my life a little with relapses etc, I still function fairly well.

I therefore realised that I needed to explore feelings I had not really tried since I was a kid, although to be fair, every now and again over the years I have looked at some of the WAM sites.

Similar to other posts, I realised that I liked getting wet messy when I was a kid. About six, I used to quite often get in to the bath with my pants still on. I would tell my mum I forgot to take them off. I used to be fascinated by anything on television, as usual Tiswas, and I seem to remember a film ‘Bugsy Malone’, a kids films, they had splat guns, firing cream or some such substance. I used to in later years watch things like Noel House Party for the gunging. When I was at boarding school I remember having, as young kids do, some magazines under my bed. I always remember one such, it had female mud wrestling, I couldn’t put this magazine down, never did know what happened to it. I remember the images like it was yesterday. I also remember after I had left school my parents going out for the night, I took my opportunity, filled a wheelbarrow with soil, made it really wet and rolled and rolled in it, problem was, that I had to get upstairs for a bath. Although I spent hours trying to clean up, I still left a mesh. “what have you been doing” my mum asked on her return, “washing mud” I replied. Now, that seems a really absurd thing for your mum to believe, and to this day she still tells people when I am around and laughing, only me knowing the truth. Perhaps I should let her know now, I don’t think so, do you!

I never knew why I was so interested in things like this at that age, obviously in my teens I found it a turn-on, but when I was pre-teens I didn’t really know what sex was.

Being from the country, I often, when I could just drop my clothes and get into a mudding pit/pool/river etc, covering myself and then washing it all off. Perhaps it was the allure of the mud and an opportunity, never used to go out looking to do this though, just happened, lucky I never got caught.

While all through my life, I have had this interest, I subdued it after my teens, not to be vain, but I am a good looking, with bright blue eyes, lots of the chat and found the allure of clubs and female attention far more absorbing at that time. I still thought about it about it at odd times, still finding it a turn on, but not doing anything about it., However, I now need to explore WAM more now.

I feel probably in some ways that it stripping away all the responsibilities of life, and for that short period you can disappear from the world and all the worries, going back to perhaps being a kid and even somewhere I read, like being back in the womb.

Why have these feeling now come back so apparently, well to be fair they never left. I have put this down to my illness, as in twenty years time I could be in a wheelchair, I don’t want to look back on life and say I wish I had of done that.

Well I could say lots more, but I wanted to introduced myself, sorry it a bit long

That’s it for now

Good on you mate. I have a friend with MS, and I wish she wanted to explore her WAM side :)

Seriously, I'm glad you've decided to give this thing a go. Getting a serious illness concentrates the mind, but let's face it, we're all going to die one day, and we'll all have to look back and say 'I wish I'd done that'. I hope you manage to fulfill at least some of your fantasies soon!

Definitely the right attitude. Seize the day and all that.

I am fortunate healthwise but Bill has had his ups and downs and there's no doubt he gets a lot more sploshy when he decides he hasn't long left in this world (not true but he does like to be melodramatic).

I seriously recommend anyone to avoid holding back. We have no idea what will happen tomorrow (spending so much time in cars I often think about accidents etc), so live for the day.

And welcome along to the forum. Your post wasn't long it was interesting and thought-provoking. Thanks.

I love this thread, seriously. I've got my own health issues also, and as i said in bizarre and in other places, getting messy has helped in being such a great catharsis for me.

Carpe Diem is right!

I totally agree that Wam can be very helpful with medical (physical or mental) conditions, its the stress relief, the calmness afterwards, if you are pre-disposed to self harming, pie your self viciously rather than do anything p[ermanenet, works for me, and makes good piccies if you want to film it. Good on you :).
