UK Essex Forum Meet-Up June 25th-26th 2011

After the successful Bristol Splunch and London Meets i'm proud to announce the first UK Essex meet for the weekend of Sat/Sun June 25th-26th 2011.

It will be taking place with a drink and chat in Chelmsford, Essex (pub and time to be announced) on the Saturday afternoon and then on the Sunday afternoon (weather pending) with a trip to the local mudflats for some messy fun and laughs (THE SUNDAY MUDFLATS DETAILS WILL BE GIVEN ONLY TO ANYONE WHO IS THE SATURDAY PART OF THE MEET!!).

Here's the full info for the Essex Meet guys

It will take place from 2pm at the Fox & Raven Pub, Barnes Mill Road, Chelmsford, CM2 6NL (off Chelmer Village Rd), Chelmsford Essex

Will be having a bite to eat at the Miller & Carter stake house next door after chat and drinks if anyone's interested

Travel Options are as follows........

By Train
Chelmsford station is only a 30 min journey by train from Liverpool St, London. and the cab ride from Chelmsford station to the pub is 7 mins away.

By Road
Very good road access from J28 of the M25 then just a 15 min drive up the A12 to Chelmsford

Hotels
All the main hotels are in Chelmsford inc. Travelodge & Premier Inn and are only five mins away drive from the pub.

Sunday Mud Meet
Will be about a 15 to 20min drive from Chelmsford. Anyone traveling by train will be given a lift to the clay pits and returned to Chelmsford if required.

I will be going along and although she is working that weekend Chantelle is doing her best to get at least the Sunday Shift covered,bit short notice though i must admit due to holidays at her place of work etc.

Been a bit busy of late so haven't had the chance to have a full reply on here with pics of the mud spot and also a update on whats happening with the meet.

I am thinking of coming to this but I am new here and don't know anyone!! I have been to the mudflats of Essex several times and fully recommend them to those of you who haven't!

So you dont get chatting to the wrong group look out for the uk atlas that will be on our table throughout the pub meet, and dont forget the mud meet on the sunday from about 12:30 ish

I got to the pub about 2.30, did I miss you all? I had a look around and couldn't see an Atlas anywhere!! Probably me being dosy! (I was the blond-haired boy wandering around looking gormless, if you were there!). Ah well, hope you have a good time in the mud tomorrow
