We tried something a little different for our shoot today with Jo, Andy and myself. We have a very funky inflatable chair shaped liked a pair of giant lips (took an age to inflate with a compressor and then had two punctures, but still totally worth it), for some reason I looked at this and thought, "video dating".

So the concept was that Jo and I would appear and be gunged as as many different characters as possible, to create a series of short video dating clips. Basically what this meant in practice is we dressed up in daft dressy-uppy clothes, said a corny one-liner, got gunged and quickly towelled off and changed into the next outfit while the other person was getting gunged. Totally chaotic, and great fun as it turned out.

To get the full effect you'd need to see the video (I'll figure out how best to post this later), but in the meantime here's some still photos (mostly before and after shots) of our various would-be video daters.

A great idea! Very funny and looks like a lot of fun. Wouldn't fancy the washing afterwards though.

By the power of my bucket of off-pink slosh I shall fight for good and triumph over evil - and that means you! (spoken in front of a background of vague swirly motion lines with each noun accented with an exaggerated faux martial arts/dance position).

Ah, Sailor Moon - any superhero whose main superpowers are the ability to take longer changing outfits by magic than it would have taken to do so normally and the ability to make male geeks dress up in short skirts and sailor collars is OK by me.

Yipee!! yesterday was a right blast, the idea was so funny their where so many funny bits that went on it was just not true. Miss Helen blowing up the lippy chair in the car in the street, followed by me saying it had a puncture he he he!!!! the bathroom got turned into wardrobe, somehow the bathrail just about took all the outfits without collapsing. I make a cameo appearance in the vid, talking to the camera in between shots, wether that'll get used we will have to see.

Jo was onform as usual both our welsh accect impresions where really bad. Plus I got gunge everybody all day, its a hard life but we have to try.

Then we tried to upload the scanner, it was that mad even Miss Helen could not get to work, wonder if came from toys are us???

Not as knowledgable about Japanese anime as you guys (I get enough about cartoons from Bill - though he's more a 70s Hanna Barbara man), I would like a sailor/Japanese schoolgirl outfit like that though! Reckon that would rock the pub!

Just to mention that I've finally got around to editing the video for this and posted it up on Youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eb2waU0RfH8 .

I'm not quite sure what chance we have of succesfully cornering the video dating market with Wamdrogony Media Dating (WMD), but doubt that our video montage is much dafter than any of the real ones knocking about.
