Scotland meet?

Postby james1990 » 22 Jan 2011, 18:39

Would there be any interest in a Scotland meet/splunch? Probably in either Glasgow or Edinburgh. Currently the only option for me is the Warrington splunch, which is a three hour journey away!

Have toured around Scotland several times staying in pubs and B&Bs travelling on public transport and loved it. After last year's forced stay-in (whilst the house was rebuilt!) and this January (huge bills, sick Dad in hospital and tax return!) I could do with some time away. Make it in Oban! That has fond memories for me like Lancaster has.

Oban's chuffing miles away from anywhere, Bill! :P Edinburgh or Glasgow is the best bet methinks.

I love Oban too
In fact I'm going there for a mini hol. in May
However - - it's miles from anywhere central - so Ed or Glasgow will make more sense for a meet up.

Maybe Bill could go on tour after the meet up?

Time to put hands in the air for The Capital - or City of Fried Mars Bars

Mars bar me anytime

Yup, was aware that Oban was a long way away but maybe I could do a tour. That would be fantastic if I can afford it (just paid tax bill!) Love Glasgow. Lived there for a month doing voluntary work when I was a LOT younger.

I may be in the area at Easter, Make it Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness or Edinburgh and I might be able to go. Not 100% sure what's happening yet though.
