Blake Edwards

I'm surprised no-one has yet mentioned the recent passing of Film Director Blake Edwards. He gave us many films that featured wonderful slapstick humour - not least of all, of course, the beautiful Natalie Wood in The Great Race standing on a table scantily clad and being pelted with cream pies. Has anything like it been seen in the 45 years since it was first shown? I'm still wondering where all of the out-takes are (there must have been alot) and whether they will ever see the light of day. Any chance Splosh could make some approaches, Bill?

Thank you Blake. In the mid 1960s you fulfilled a lot of our fantasies. You did a good job, and in forums on websites like Splosh, your work lives on. RIP (Revel In Pies).

Yes, it's sad that we seem to have lost so many greats from the entertainment business in the last year or two.

Blake Edwards was a top director, who could turn his hand very successfully to a variety of film genres.
