What do you do with yours?

I have spoken to a lot of people that just bin them post splosh, including shoes. I wash everything and hope for the best, and usually it comes out fine. (including boots and shoes)

I have only ever completely ruined about five items in all my sploshing, and two of those were on purpose, ripping them as well... (great fun!) and one was a dress made of layers and layers of mesh fabric that I rubbed huge amounts of margarine into knowing it would never come out. Another was a pair of boots that I knew were pretty much done in anyway.

Something I thought would never ever get clean was a white basque that got covered in black poster paint (and many other things) during a session. It took a few washes to get there but it survived!

So what have you ruined? Or what have you managed to save? Do you usually just bin everything or have a crack at cleaning it?

All my stuff goes in the washing machine and its carefully pressed and folded for next time

A few years back I was working/living in a hotel and put a pair of high heels in the hotel industrial washing machine - long story short - forgot about them being in there - macine broke down - housekeeper called the engineer in - "erm there was a nice pair of ladies shoes jammed in the drum" he told the housekeeper - suffice to say I never asked for them back!

only destructive stuff i used a few times was cooking oil, never bothered washing them items

as i also love going for long soggy / muddy walks i find that is what kills most shoes, its the amount they are worn when soaked

i find satin shoes wont last long at all, maybe 15mins after they get soaked, so i stay away from them

i did save a dress that i had left for dead over a lake, i went for a swim in it and got really muddy and decided it was too much effort to clean so i stepped out of it and left it in the lake
the next week it was laying across a tree stump, someone must have fished it out and left it there, as it was dry and alot lighter than it was wet i took it home and it did wash out ok

I usually take my stuff home after sessions and it mostly survives after a wash in the machine. I have shirts & trousers which have been through several sessions. One session with Gilly had some clothes ripping (pre-arranged) which finally got rid of an outfit that should have been thrown away years previously, and a jacket I wore for my 2 girl session died of excitement (its owner almost did as well!). It was only about 30 years out of fashion; the owner is about 50years out!

Warning: Watch out for Miss T's bright pink gunge, it takes two or three goes through the machine to get it out!

I think this might be still on topic. Yesterday, on my way from Waterloo station to the 'meet' in the squally rain, I discovered that my shoes let in copious amounts of water through the heels (I don't usually go out in the rain because I'm very delicate ). The soles and tops were OK so I had to go through the puddles on tip-toes! Didn't work though and I still got wet feet. I normally love sploshing when I'm prepared for it but that was damned annoying . I think I'll send a complaint to the London Meet organisers .

I think the only thing I've lost are the odd pair of tights that have got laddered from twigs etc. in the mud. I have so much trouble finding femme clothes to fit me that I try to be as careful as I can to preserve everything. Most things wash out fine after I've been in the mud but I do like the feeling of lycra, which tends to survive quite well as it's artificial fibre so I suppose that helps a lot.

I almost lost a pair of panties once when I was getting changed at dusk. I realised they were missing when I got home so that was an excuse to go back to the muddy bridlepath the next week to retrieve them. When I was almost there, I encountered a lady riding a horse - the only time I'd ever come across anyone on that path! If I'd been a few minutes earlier, I might have been all dressed 'en femme' and wallowing about in the mud, which might have taken some explaining! The panties were, indeed, alongside the mud patch I used to use, screwed up and now caked in dry soil rather than the sloppy mud that had filled them when I had them on. It makes you wonder how many people had stepped over them! (Sadly that site is no more - the council drained and hard-cored that path!)

Obviously I am in the minority as a lot of my clothes get destroyed (on purpose). I love getting nice clean, smart (new if possible) clothes messy and they never quite feel the same after washing them through. They sort of become sploshing clothes. Not sure why I feel like this but then we're all different!

i activly sought out some puddles when i got off the tube from the london meet, so yeah i went home wet from the waist down !!

Depends really, some things I splosh and then clean for another day, some things I enjoy ripping them up and totally destroying them.
I had some lycra shorts which must have had almost anything edible put over or in them, covered in mud, and soaked almost every week, they lasted for years (literally), and I had to throw them out because they wore out naturally. Before throwing them out, they had a last session and then got cut up. One pair are those I wore when I cut up and wrecked the Portsmouth shirt.
One of the best items I had which survived well was the Pony shirt, it had some abuse over it's lifetime!
I do try to clean and re-use many clothes, as you may have noticed I don't often wear shoes as I can't afford for them not to clean up, and trying to dry them is difficult for me at the moment. I do have a couple of pairs which have almost worn out, so when the time is right they will get sploshed.

Generally bin it all Most stuff gets ripped or ruined beyond cleaning anyway

I do enjoy ripping and completely ruining things.

I suppose with the frequency I splosh though I would be homeless if I did it every time!

I also think it's a shame when people (and I have heard of this a few times) only splosh once or twice a year due to the cost and hassle of getting an outfit. I much prefer keeping and salvaging things and being able to splosh a lot.

I have some things that I reuse, like rubber and good suits, but a lot of the time I go out to buy a specific outfit just to ruin. Shoes and boots are different though -- I like to reuse them time after time and have never thrown a pair away (even the brown suede shoes that are covered in various stains!)

In the past I've ruined some perfectly good work clothes by staining them - think it was a combination of tomato soup and beans. No matter how many times I washed them the stains never came out, so I gave them a final send off and ripped them. Good fun, if a little expensive.

I wore this outfit for a fantastic sploshing session using eggs and flour amongst other things. and guess what it washed uo fine to wear to a wedding and splosh in again. but this time the dress was ripped. Hat is still ok though.

At home sessions tend to be fine for clothes surviving as they get into the washing machine while wet (usually having been soaked in the shower too) As for my few visits to Sploshagirl, I generally just bin the clothes (or in one case, what was left of them) which on one visit did include a genuine GYOB t-shirt (1 of 4 I managed to get from them a good few years back, you may have seen Josie messing one, Gungedlulu in another and there's 1 still left) it may have been salvageable, but it was rather soaked in thick gunge (Miss T should have a photo or two) and I suspect lugging it home then washing it wouldn't have got it back to yellow.
