Waking up with a stinking cold (blame the Halloween partying) has given me a few minutes to wonder where SPLOSH! should go from here.

What else would you like on the site?

What else would you like on the forum?

Are DVDs dead?

If you prefer downloads, do you like them long, short, professional, rough-and-ready, rude or just messy & funny?

What sort of price should they be?

Do you prefer amateur to professional sploshers on the forum/downloads?

Do you prefer to subscribe or pick and choose downloads individually?

With so much free stuff around on Youtube etc, do you even bother to pay for anything at all?

And do you think the current 'cutbacks' (and likely repercussions next year) will affect your messy viewing habits?


We have a number of ideas of our own already (so we're not asking out of a shortage of inspiration!) but we would be interested to know how you feel about what is currently on offer, and if there is anything you would like specifically.

I mainly visit the Splosh website for the forum - with occasional visits to the blog and freehouse. I'd visit the blog more often if it was updated more frequently ... although not sure how possible that is with your busy schedule of other things. I expect you'd be happier if visitors came to see the rest of the site too, not just the forum. So maybe there's some way of encouraging people to visit other pages?

I think the forum is already spot on as it is. The right mix of chatter, links, free piccies etc ... nice to see a fairly even mix of amateur messy stuff and professionals selling their wares. I'm inclined to feel more warmly towards the professionals who also contribute comments to discussions rather than only post when they're trying to sell something (here's some free pics, buy my stuff, cheers, bye).

I can't really think of anything that's missing, although I do quite like the UMD's pic archive ... especially as you can browse it in chronological order or order of 'hotness'.

Also - I frequent a non-wam non-sexual site which has a regular weekly contest between forum members ... the topic is set, everyone who wants to submit an entry has to do so by Monday midnight. Entrants then vote for their 3 favourite entries by PM (not voting automatically loses you 3 points from your own votes) and the winner is announced on Wednesday ... the winner's prize is to set the new contest.

Maybe I haven't explained that very clearly, but if you're interested I'll happily explain it more clearly. It needs a volunteer to run it week by week (not me sorry - already mega busy). The obvious pluses for such a contest: it's a laugh, it encourages more participation, everyone likes a fun contest.

I also enjoy the forum, its sexy and a laugh as well. The only suggestion possibly an off topic section for anything non WAM related chat?

I love Splosh because of the English-ish factor. It is more informal and non-offending compared to communities controled in (for example) Amercia. See it like a pub, with all kinds of people, people you know, and people who are totaly strangers. You accept and respect them because they are here for the very same thing. No mather what gender, age, language, preferences and so on.

I like to download, even it's sometimes cheaper to join. Important for me is the fact of no registering, prices under 15 pounds per movie, and a good cameraman. Also important is the way of paying. I hate the fact that there are so many ways to pay. It's like every website/producer has it's own method/company to pay. For those who own a credit card that's no problem. But for people like me who just download now and then it's easier to pay with your bank-account .

I enjoy the blog, with the travelling etc. Also Bill's view on some of the things that go on.

I also prefer the pub atomsphere to some of the boards, that are a lot more corporate.

I think its great that forum does not! seperate male/female/cd wam, etc. Everybody should be allowed.

I like SPLOSH for the humour and comedy with the obvious sexy, messy endings. The storyline and jokes and editing is what makes SPLOSH so much better than anything else out there. I'm not interested in rudeness per se, unless there is an associated comedic element; I would definitely watch non-sexual material as long as it was sexy and funny (e.g. Benny Hill / Carry On levels of sexiness). Having been brought up on the "tease" of 3-4 SPLOSH magazines a year, I would rather pay a lot for 4 classic splosh downloads a year, than buy more of the cheaper, shorter variety of clips.

I like the mix on the Forum of the different topics, different sides to Sploshing and the mix of amatuer/professional material. I think it's "chattiness" has declined in recent months, but that may just be the summer.

DVDs are definitely dead - all my films are now downloads onto the computer.

No real thoughts on length or cost. I will buy depending on content alone. I'm prepared to pay higher prices for some good, well-crafted material.

Don't like subscriptions, I prefer to pick and choose.

The odd "gem" on YouTube but nothing to compete with the Splosh downloads.

The cutbacks may curtail my spending, but if they do, it will just be another reason never to vote ConDem.

I agree with most of the points made by Phantom and by Deprime regarding the forum. I always go there first and enjoy the comments made; particularly the general chatter & friendly piss-taking amongst old friends who have met each other at the various meets. However the forum does lately seem to have an increase of cross-dressers and I wonder if a separate section might be provided? I would still read it though . There is also the tendency of certain wam producers to use massive amounts of space to advertise their wares; surely they have a dedicated audience by now who know the sort of stuff they will get, especially if they are subscription sites.

That brings me to the question of DVDs. I never purchase discs by post nowadays but I do use them at home as a storage system as well as backing up to my hard disks (is it a c or a k? ), you never know what will happen with confusers . I have gone off subscription sites lately and now prefer pick 'n choose downloads. YouTube et al are a menace; once I get on them I keep following the links for hours and forget to eat'n'drink ! I think I have all of the original Splosh material on VCs and/or DVDs but If I see a new one (e.g. the one with Jo getting 'drunk') its a great bonus.
To Deprime - I fully agree about the different ways to pay for downloads, its just as confusing even with a credit card !

Thats enough for now except to ask Bill not to sneeze in front of his monitor; we don't want to catch his cold .

I really don't want to separate anyone into a different forum as I like the variety here. If there are a lot of crossdressers it is up to the rest to get pictures of their own up. I would certainly like to see more couples and real women playing.

It would be wonderful if there was one central splosh bank that handled credit cards we could all use. It annoys me intensely that we get lumped in with hard core porn as 'adult' and therefore find it hard to offer credit card services. However, if a few people want to pay for our downloads by cheque/postal order/cash this can be arranged but it would need to be done a reasonable quantity at a time rather than lots of small orders. Deprime take note! PM or e-mail me if this is of interest.

As for the blog (and maybe the decreasing chattiness of the forum)...this summer has been difficult for me what with the building work hence fewer updates. I would like to know if people would be interested in blog posts about less specifically sploshy things (the munches, trips to the pub etc) as well like I do on Facebook. I haven't done this before as it seemed rather egocentric and irrelevant on a sploshing site but my life is sufficiently amusing (I think) to make it entertaining, if not always messy. What do you think?

I must apologise for being one of the cross-dressers on the site! Nonetheless, that does raise an interesting point as to why so many CDs are sploshers (or is it the other way round?!). There's a serious socialogical research study lurking there for someone! Even though I'm not interested in liaisons of a more intimate nature with other CDs (or non-CD blokes either, for that matter - I'm a lesbian CD! ), I don't mind seeing other CDs in messy situations as, after all, the point is that they (we?) *look* femme. (Well, some of them do anyway - I'd never 'pass'!) therefore, irrespective of what is beneath the clothes. what I appear to see before me are females in female clothes getting messy. That's fine by me.

If I'd said that in a certain 'well known brand' of sploshing contact info based in the USA, I'd have been flamed to hell and back by intolerant folks who seem to think that any deviation from their own deviations is totally unacceptable. (A rather odd situation given that their own devatiations are, by definition, not the norm!) It's the pleasant lack of intolerance, the general banter and the overall good humour that seems to survive here that makes it the pleasant place to visit that keeps us all coming back for more. However, that must require effort from all 'good thinking people' to make sure that a migration of bad attitude from elsewhere is robustly rebuffed here, making it clear that intolerance, flaming and the like are not acceptable here. Fortunately, I don't think we've needed to see that happen, yet, but I dare say it will one day.

As to video material etc, I love the Splosh way of being more to do with fun and silliness than just using it as a 2-minute lead in to full-on vibrator-based action (or whatever). If that's what I wanted to see, I could go to one of thousands of regular porn sites. It's the old-school tit for tat and humour that makes it more special and distinctive. Silly demos, clothes filling, cake sitting, scripts, scenarios and steady old-school camerawork are what we need but rarely get elsewhere, probably because that requires imagination and a lot of effort. Most sites these days seem to fall into one of several repetitive categories, mainly either Bath-tub or paddling pool pourings or repetitive pies in the face. To be fair, there's only a limited number of scenarios one can reasonably expect but those do seem to be saturated (if you'll pardon the pun).

As far as consumption and delivery go, I don't consume that much. Normally I used to prefer DVD as the superior picture quality you get on a 'proper' TV compared with an LCD computer monitor made that my preferred choice but it's getting tricky to find them and difficulties can be encountered when using CD-Rs as they're not the most stable or reliable of devices. (That reminds me, Bill - we really must get round to sorting out those faulty ones sometime - I'd left it thinking you might be coming up to Warrington where we could swap them over but, of course, your building work put paid to that this year! In fact, I'm not even sure where I've put them now!) I have purchased some 'pick and mix' downloads from 'a well-known producer from the Bristol area' this year (featuring some delightful slim and willowy young ladies mud sliding down to a river in tight jeggings, amongst other material - "most stimulating"! ) and the technical quality was ok (though the camera work was a bit amateurish - panning and zooming all over the place, though it can't be easy when you're out on the mud I suppose). It's certainly simpler than DVDs these days so I may stick with that method.

Bill's blogs are written in a style that is amusing and well-crafted, which is what you'd expect from an experienced journalist, so I don't mind seeing a bit more of those. Of course, if they're not specifically about sploshing then they might have less appeal so might detract from the main focus of the site. As long as they're witty anyway then I don't think people would mind but it might be better to keep those coming on FaceBook, on reflection.

Hi, I agree with much of what has been said on here regarding the forum, this is the only fetish-style forum I post on. I think that it is because of most members here being tolerant or supportive of others particular ideas of sploshing. I like amateur pictures, even if they are not as messy as commercial pictures, as it is just normal people doing what they enjoy, and at their own costs, they don't expect payment for their work, clothes or whatever they choose to get messy with.

Some of the commercial sites who peddle their wares here could do to read some of the above posts about taking part in discussions as opposed to 'This is what I am selling, here is a (very small) preview picture that you can hardly see, give me some money, see you next time I have something else to sell'
I don't buy downloads, and if I did I would want to see exactly what I was getting for my money, not just one picture.

I also like the off-topic silliness that goes on here, as some have said it is like being in the pub with your mates, that is the way it should stay. I sometimes visit 'the other forum', but only to look at the pictures, I can't be doing with all the nastiness that goes on.

I don't buy downloads as I have no way of paying for them, however if I can buy Splosh downloads with postal orders....

As for where everyone is....I dont know, but I have noticed that things have gone quiet recently. I wonder if the recession is stopping people sploshing, I know I can't do it as often as I could a couple of years ago, but just some comment or off-topic to make sure the forum stays active and doesn't go stale.

I would like to say, keep it going in whatever way is possible.

Yes. All my messy purchases are now downloads. Quick and convenient!

My preference is the professional - good editing, slapstick dialogue and character style clip that we have become accustom to from Splosh.
So I prefer the likes of Sammy Jane, Clown Julie, Gilly etc who have all mastered the art of slapstick.
That said, it’s interesting to see a new face - For example you could have a young girl, say late teens / early 20’s, messing up one of the more experienced performers listed above - or maybe even a star from another site such as Messy Jessie.

I think 10-20 mins is a good duration for a clip.

I like the set up to start off with cheeky deliberate messy slapstick , continuing to the nude climax!
I would still buy a high quality download without nudity.

What sort of price should they be?

Not sure, but I would definitely pay more for good quality from my favourite slapstick performers.

I think I may subscribe if I was clear on the content and frequency. The SillyHouse for example kept ‘mostly’ to a particular style and updated 2-3 times a month.

Random you tube clips don’t come close to the quality you get from professional producers, so it doesn’t impact on what I buy.

The phrase that Claymore-wam used: "imagination and a lot of effort" sums up the SPLOSH brand really (wish I had used it!!). I also have to agree with Aufpet; I would buy any video with Sammy Jane, Clown Julie and Gilly in, simply because they know, appreciate and have mastered slapstick acting. Good call - no need to split the forum into sub-sections. People usually label their off-topic posts as off topic ... and off-topic posts add to the pub atmos that many people here seem to enjoy so much.
