I waited for the last day of the last term having seen the eggs and flour in years gone by and what happened... Well nothing, we were dismissed after the last exam and therefore the celebrations never happened!

However, as I was a horse rider and groom at the time also, well I did get pretty messy at the riding school - does that count? :)

Well, if you read these stories that I wrote : http://wamstoryarchive.com/ViewStory.php?ID=117 or http://wamstoryarchive.com/ViewStory.php?ID=89 you will get an idea, they thought nothing of chucking people on the muck heap on their birthday or when they left the yard (or in my case when I had got them with a prank!)

I went on a PGL trip to Wales for a week in the last year of primary school, which included two rather messy activities. The first was a straight up assault course, which had its share of muddy crawls. Better than that though was something they called the Trim Trail. It was basically a track through a wood, strewn with deep mud and muddy water pools. Our group was split into two, who ran the course from opposite ends, the aim being to end up messier than the other. We ended meeting halfway and having a big mud fight too. :D

I've loved getting messy for as long as I can remember, although there was obviously nothing arousing about it back then. I'd love to have the chance to do something similar now though.

Well, as I've often revealed here, I first learned of my interest in sploshing at the end of my freshman year of college, but I'm not sure that's what troy intended when he said "school days." But if going to university (that is how it's said in England, right?) counts, then it was my experience playing in an all-day mud volleyball tournament (that kinda got carried away into the night).

Similar to Cake Battered...week long holiday, may also have been a PGL trip aged 11/12 maybe. Can still remember the blindfold mud assault course now...covered in mud head to toe we were  . One other thing sticks in my memory....coming back from a pony trek trip and seeing one of the girls getting dunked in the water trough for a joke  Maybe thats what triggered me into being a splosher? Once a splosher always a splosher

I can vouch for very similar memories and I think they triggered the same fascination with Sploshing (not that I realised it had a name or even existed until a day in London many years later! - but that is another story). Horse people love a good prank and when you have troughs of water, molasses etc. - well the possibilities are pretty endless!

Be happy
