Anyone seen the current advert for Head & Shoulders shampoo thats on TV at the moment? you know the one with about five girls in tight white nurses uniforms and high heels?

Dont you agree that it is a wated opportunity? they are just asking to get dragged into the shower arent they! :D

I should be in advertising, there are so many products you could advertise with a bit of WAM!!

definitely....

Although, I think I ought to complain to the advertising standards people. I've bought Head & Shoulders for years, and I've never had five nurses join me in the shower...

Yours Sincerely

Its an outrage!! I will have to write a stern note to the Tadworth Advertiser about it (google the Wikipedia entry for Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells!)

I assume you mean this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disgusted_ ... idge_Wells That seems more like the recollection I had of it, especially the Take It From Here connection which spread the phrase nationwide.

Can't quite see the connection to Tadworth, which is in Surrey, whereas Tunbridge Wells is in Kent? I must admit that, whenever I hear the name Tunbridge Wells, I'm reminded of a wonderfully disastrous interview used by BBC Training as an example of what can go wrong, in which an extremely posh (and increasingly worried and exasperated ) BBC lady interviews Mr Alfred Crunwell, aged 103 in 1954, about his life in Tunbridge Wells during which he fails to answer every question about the town, claiming that he doesn't know anything about the place despite slagging off various other people who he says don't know anything about it! Absolutely hilarious - well worth hearing if you get the chance.

Theyve changed the entry from what it used to be. The Tadworth Advertiser reference was featured in a book by some guy, cant remember his name, which summarised the mean spirited middle england values of the charachter.

Apparantly, if the wind had the temerity to blow leaves from his neighbours tree into disgusted's garden, he would sweep the leaves up, put them in a box and deposit the box on his neighbour's doorstep, with a complaining note, then write to the Tadworth Advertise about it! :D
