This brings to mind the artist (sorry, I can't remember the name or the decade) who had an exhibition of paintings that were created by having various naked young ladies each cover themselves in one colour of paint and then roll around in groups on large canvases.

Some 'old-school' critic disparagingly commented "And you call that art!?", to which the artist replied "You call it what you like ... but it's great fun cleaning the brushes afterwards." :)

Mike - probably the same guy, Yves Klein, as I read about recently in a recent "50 years ago today" article. There's a long and rather boringly arty-farty entry about him in Wikipedia....apparently the painting-with-naked-girls art was called
Anthropometry.

Seems he developed a special colored paint, International Klein Blue, for the purpose (wonder if that needed lots of practical tests to get the shade just right? ).

Reminds me of 'The Swinger' film, 1966 version I think where a girl (Ann Margret?) was covered in paint then rolled around on a canvas. I thought the director was Ken Russell, but not according to imdb.

Lots of people have fantasies like that, Mike, but don't worry, you're safe here and matron will be round soon with the nice enema to put you to sleep.

I think L!ve TV used to do the "girls in paint rolling around on canvas" bit late at night as inserts between programmes. Another channel did it recently too but I can't remember which one. Sadly I missed them all.

Oh, it was Ann Margret in The Swinger, here's the (poor quality) clip:

Thanks for that link sparx, I could hardly remember when I saw it last. It was considered VERY daring at the time! :)
