Greetings fellow sploshers!
Announcing an all-new, fully live gunge event: A Trifling Affair At The Subculture!
Come to The Subculture Nightclub, Leeds, on the afternoon of Saturday 17th April 2010, between 3pm and 7pm, and here's what we have on the bill so far:
Human Table! Watch a nice young lady, dressed in not very much, get turned into a Japanese-style living table, and have a two course meal eaten off her!
Vampire gunging! See what happens when an evil Gothic vampiress comes up against a victim fully armed with chocolate éclairs and several buckets of beans!
Messy Wrestling! Two full bouts of female messy wrestling in several gallons of top quality gunge!
Tomatoey Torture, Sticky Vixens, and Gooey Maidens!!!
Endurance Singing! And as an extra special treat, watch the delectable Em Brulee stage a full-scale re-enactment of Freddie Star's legendary 1979 gunge skit, belting out a tune while being attacked with custard pies, buckets of water, gunge poured down her dress, and generally being messed about with!
There's also going to be a (male) Pie Auction, and other treats still to be decided. The event is a fundraiser for the Save The Subculture Appeal, all the performers are giving their time for free, and proceeds go directly to the appeal fund.
3pm - 7pm, Sat 17th April, The Subculture, 66 Wade Lane, Leeds, LS2 8NJ. Entrance on the East side of The Merrion Centre. Step-free level access also available on request. The club is an intimate alternative venue, and you'll be able to get up close to the action, with seating available on 2.5 sides of the stage area, the remaining .5 of the 3rd side being the performers' walking route to their washdown area.
The club's bar will be open throughout serving a wide range of drinks at very reasonable prices - more pub than club!
Admission £6, £4 concessions (students with NUS card, over-65, disabled).
Join the Facebook Group!
And don't forget to visit A Trifling Affair's download store, sponsored by and featuring models from Saturation Hall!
Note, this is a non-participation event, i.e. you'll be able to watch all the skits live, but physical audience participation, other than in the pie auction, is not included.

I know - I was just saying to pup that we do need that calendar idea that he was musing on in our Warrington thread. It's a bit frustrating, given that we try to stick to the third Sat in April and October "so that everyone knows". LoL! It looks like some kind of visual calendar that people can add to and check in a single place for potential clashes would probably be a good idea.

I'm not sure what I can get to on this day, as I have a really big shoot on the 18th, but will try and make it to one event.

Yeah, oops! Unfortunately that was the only Saturday for about a month either side when everyone involved in ours was available, and that fit the club's schedule.

I like that idea! 3rd Saturday in April to be International Splosh Day from now on?

Andy, did you get the PM I sent a few weeks back? Definitely up for pintage at some point, even if you can't make A Trifling Affair.
Everyone: I just realised my original post has a plug for our download store, which is of course commercial, even if it is a fundraiser, so respecting the rules here are some free photos from Lady Jasmine's set (she donated herself for free for this), where she pours ice-cold milk down her beautiful slinky trousers before getting totally covered in custard! The full set is available in Trifling's download store, here: Jasmine's Custard Trousers. We'd a lot of fun doing that one!

*International Splosh Day* Yay our very own day... (Maybe if we tell This Morning they will have us on for next year).

Excuse my ignorance, but what will this involve? Anyone who is male bidding to be pied? Or anyone can pay x pounds to be pied?
Re: Live Sploshing Event, Saturday 17th April, Leeds!!!
in this context we're hoping to auction off a couple of pies each for people to pie the victim with. we have a male confirmed (and bidding is going to get high on that one as he's an annoying bugger and deserves a good pieing in the mush - must not spend all my money doing it!) and it's pretty likely we'll get a woman too so it's more for members of the audience to get hands on with the volunteers than to get pied themselves

Re: Live Sploshing Event, Saturday 17th April, Leeds!!!
And we finally have the running order for the event!!!!
Excuse the exclamation mark misuse, but this has grown into a truly fantastic event!!!
Here's the plan:
Nelly Plum and Plum Tart - Nellie is Deliah Smith and she's *trying* to make a trifle but naughty Plum Tart keeps messing it up!
Jo the Living Table - Watch some seriously classy splosh dining!
Dog-Lead Domination and Messy Wrestling 1 - Watch an all-female BDSM routine, followed by the two ladies gunge-wrestling!
Vampire Beanfeast! - Innocent negligee woman is stalked by a stalky vampire in a 70s-inspired horror - before retaliating with chocolate éclairs and buckets of beans!
Female Pie Auction! - Everyone gets to bid on a couple of real custard pies to pie Bam Bam Blue with.
Resevoir Toms - Ms Orange tortures Mr Mead in a tale of stylish tomatoey torture.
Intermission - during which Ms Stiletto Starr's Sweetshop will be selling squirts of cream with cherries on top - to be licked from her body!
Endurance Singing with Em Brulee - Watch as the beautiful Ms Brulee manfully keeps singing despite the steadily increasing quantities of water, pies, and gunge being squirted, poured, and thrown over her. In the finest theatre traditions, The Show Must Go On!
Ms Orange and Ms Alcock in Messy Wrestling 2 - watch the refined and sophisticated ladies take each other on in the only way that matters - messily!
Stilletto Star - Would you like Fries with that? - Milkshake mayhem, mostly down Ms Star's dress.
Male Pie Auction - featuring Ms Orange's housemate Alistair, who apparently everyone in Leeds wants to pie!
Mimi Demure and Miss Cissy P being beeeeeeees! - in black and yellow catsuits, bursting balloons full of honey over each other!
Lilly Belle's Bakery - Our beautiful compare, who's stayed scrupulously clean through all the preceding acts, does a nice bakery demo - and ends up sitting on the cake.
So that's four solid hours of splosh-based entertainment, featuring some of the Northern Scene's finest burlesque dancers, plus friends and helpers. Some of the sploshings will be relatively minor, others will be full-saturation maximum gunging extravaganzas! And all done live right in front of your eyes. The bar will be open and stocked with a wide range of drinks, and as the club is in the city centre of Leeds there's ample food provision all round (for a real bakery I recommend Cooplands in the same shopping centre as the club).
We start at 3 and should finish by 7, though minor over-running is possible and the club's timetable allows for this.
So come to Leeds on Saturday 17th April (that's Saturday coming!) for what will be a truly fantastic live gunge show!
Sorry Bill! If we ever do it again, we'll try and remember that!

Re: Live Sploshing Event, Saturday 17th April, Leeds!!!
Had a great time, was a lot of fun and hopefully introduced some people to sploshing
Hope it's enough to save The Subculture, if only so we can have more sploshing events
