In an effort to cheer myself up, I had a quick look through Google images under the term 'splosh' to see what came up. There I found this character from Anglian Water. I have to admit that there is a slight similarity..

It looks like it. Perhaps they know what splosh is all about and are having a little in-joke over there. Anyone from Anglian Water care to admit it?
