Found this while reading 'the reg' earlier, thought it was quite funny and disturbing that some fetishist will go this far!

Disturbing indeed! Certainly not funny. I have no sympathy whatever for this man as incidents like that can reflect upon all of us.

Yes, I have had a couple of conversations that touched this yesterday at work and words like ' freak ', ' sicko ' and ' twat ' were used. I wonder if he was a lurker here ? Although in the eyes of the public would he be more into scat than splosh ?

Still,it might not make much odds once the connection is loosely made since, like they say, mud sticks.

i remember seeing the original incident covered in the news, where he burned down the cow shed... i think thats probably why they got a restraining order against him!!

I don't think that most of 'the public' would know the difference between scat and splosh.

As most of my friends both within this forum and outside generally know, I am a naturist (nudist). In the practice of this activity I am suitably discrete and don't try to inflict my ideas on others. However, we are commonly associated in the minds of 'the public' with flashers, streakers and other exhibitionists such as the man who insists upon walking the length of Britain naked. when he is rightfully arrested he (and others) has to be defended in court by the CCBN (our national organisation), despite the fact that the vast majority of us deplore his/their actions.

I am also a splosher and although I prefer food and gunge I sometimes venture into mud. I usually finish sessions naked but try not to flaunt that publicly.

Sorry this has become a diatribe but I strongly object to having us sploshers being associated with persons who condone the actions of the afore mentioned pervert! Sploshing, like naturism is an innocent pastime and should not be associated in any way with lawbreakers!

Richard, I agree with what you say, that there is a world of difference between innocent pastimes such as genuine naturism and silly fun such as sploshing, and lawbreaking. Clearly this guy was a pervert in the correct sense of that word, not to mention being a criminal in the damage he did and the fear he induced in the ITP's.

The issue is, though, is that the vast majority of the public would not really distinguish very much between the mildest fetishism (or even naturism) and the activities of people like that. Basically they have no need to think about it beyond that. It's partly the old question of what is "normal"?
