We have just started to use cake mix, both chocolate and normal, and this stuff feels amazing! Its warm as well so it means that you don't get that coldness that you get with gunge. That combined with custard is great :D

Were planing a session soon and have got some poridge oats to try, as always pictures will be put up here. Why don't you give my sugestions a try and post the results up here?

If you want to use gunge by the bucketful, cost is significant. Here are some low-cost possibilities.

At least water is pretty good value! Other more challenging substances are left-over food and drinks: anyone who forgets to drink their mug of tea or coffee deserves an obvious forfeit.

Porridge oats is cheap, but not ideal: it is a challenge to wash it off afterwards (so I am told).

Custard is the ideal sploshing medium: the cheapest way to prepare it is with cornflour, which can be coloured as you wish with vegetable colouring which , like everything else here, comes from your friendly local hypermarket. You can decorate it with artificial cream from a spray can, or mix your own with Elmdale whipping cream, much cheaper. For custard pies you need paper plates (may be reused if you are careful), some custard and some cream on the top.

Bananas have various uses in sploshing, and are cheap, especially if there is a special offer on over-ripe ones, which are perfectly tasty once they have been extracted from your knickers.

Other things to try, available pretty cheap, are tomato soup, ketchup, soya chocolate drink, vegetable oil, baked beans & mushy peas.

The most expensive thing is the digital camera so we can all see the fun.
