While looking around on youtube. I found a clip from the closing of the show. At the very end of the clip a person is getting covered in pies.
I remember seeing pics of Shena Easton getting similar treatment on Tiswas. Now, I have never seen any episodes of Tiswas before being
American. Can someone tell me if it's her or not? Here is a link I hope it works.

edit: It's at the very end of to clip hope you can help.

Do you mean the one at 2:10? If so, I don't recall Sheena Easton having a big perm, though being the 1980s, it's perfectly possible.

You only saw TisWas after you became American?!? :P How unusual! LoL.

That is Sheena Easton at the end - virtually unrecognisable. The 'big perm' lady is Toyah at 2.13 (2.10 is Fred Dineage from World of Sport, now our local news anchorman). It's a great clip for tryingto recognise 70s club comics!

Oooh - well spotted Bill. It was such a fleeting glimpse that I didn't realise it was Toyah! [2:10, 2:13 - I knew it was somewhere round there!]

So that's what happened to Fred Dineage - didn't realise he was still going! .... One is tempted to ask the question "How?!" ;-)

Mind you, when it comes to local news readers, you're probably in the same situation in that you probably don't know that we have Gordon Burns of Krypton Factor fame up here. .... which leads on to another old joke: "Do you know Gordon Burns?" "Does he really?"

<Ker boom tish> "I thangyew" <Exits stage left>

Thank you Bill and others. Your right, If it wasn't for the fact I saw pics of the before I wouldn't have known who that was.
Stars really got it on that show didn't they?

Well quite a few did. It was seen I think as a badge of courage in those days before PR. If you were prepared to get messy on Tiswas then it was good publicity. Then PR people came along and started saying that their clients would only promote things and not join in (witness Rachel Stevens on Dick and Dom). I think it will swing back in the future...
