Off Topic, 'Ben Dover' on BBC4

Did anyone else see the documentary tonight about the well known porn stud/actor trying to go straight as a comic actor? Lindsay Honey (if that is his real name) was followed around looking for work as a straight actor! I thought he looked a rather sad sight among various other aspiring thespians, most of whom had their faces obscured.
Towards the end Ken Russell appeared and apparently showed some interest in him but KR himself seemed on his last legs so I doubt if anything will materialise from that quarter.

Didn't see it but heard about it. Have met him once or twice, usually when I was working with his wife called Linzi Drew (do you spot a theme developing - at the time they had a dog called Linzi as well). He must have made a fortune from Ben Dover so spare your sympathy! Perhaps I should go into straight acting as well!!!

I knew he was married to Linzi Drew (I've seen some of her stuff) but didn't know about the dog. They showed his house in a posh, gated area and it looked very expensive so that must have been from his 'ill gotten gains'. What really shocked me was the state of Ken Russell; I met him a few times when I was managing a shop in Keswick and he had a place in Borrowdale. He was always a bit weird but now he looks really ill!
p.s. @Bill, straight acting? can you walk straight?

Last time I saw Ken Russell on TV, he had lost it somewhat. Shame. Have a lot of respect for his work. Anyone who gave us THAT scene in Tommy deserves respect.
PS Walk straight? I have trouble standing up!

It is great that KR is still working away - I think he may be in his 80s. it is a shame that he semed to go out of fashion some years ago, and didn't get to make any more major films.
I saw Sammy-Jane in an early Ben Dover video - even then her star quality came through.

Is Ben Dover any relation to the 2 Scotsman I once knew?
Ben Doon & Phil McAverty...?

Didn't Linzi Drew do some messy/muddy modelling in the late 80's early 90's in Club?

I can't remember but probably...she worked just about everywhere at the time and was no stranger to getting messy.

Linzi did indeed get a little muddy here

I never realised that it was Linzi's bum on Roger Waters Pros And Cons Of Hitchhiking album.
Very nice.
