Off topic - King of Pop

Just wanted to start a thread to say rest in peace, Michael Jackson.

He was an incredibly talented performer, and often seemed a troubled soul.

I was sad to hear the news about his passing, but his troubles are behind him now.

Michael Jackson the artist is immortal. His music is embedded in my mind forever, and I like it that way. I'd say Michael Jackson the man is evidence of the sheer destructive nature of celebrity and fame.

I grew up listening to "Beat It" and "Thriller". Can't quite believe he died so young. RIP.

RIP I loved his music. I even like his other projects that he did over the years.
It's hard to believe he's gone.

RIP Michael - slightly quirky in personality but hugely talented. I was hugely shocked when I found out as I only just woke up & logged on to my msn and read the news on it...

Very sad. I know he was a highly controversial character, but I also think he was a very sad and troubled man. I feel very sorry for his children and I hope that the press leaves them alone.

He won't be forgotten - he was an amazingly talented performer and shrewd businessman. And even though he was odd, I think we loved Wacko Jacko as well as Michael Jackson. R.I.P.

Also RIP to Farah Fawcett - maybe we can do a splosh version of Charlies Angels in tribute to a brave and beautiful lady. Not that I'm sure that would be appreciated, but there you go!

Admit to being sadder about Farrah than Jacko cos she endured a long illness. Also I had a poster of her back in the 70s! But he was a great performer and am fed up with all the jokes already (received the first one by e-mail at 8am that morning!).
