Hi, I have been sent home from work early (again!) and so I decided to wreck the middlesboro shirt I had from when I was going to gunge the shirt of the team who finished bottom of the premier league.
It seemed a better idea than drinking neat vodka and eating two pounds of mis-shaped biscuits I got from the local market. (actually I had already done this bit when I decided to wreck the shirt.)

Anyhow here are some pictures for your amusement.





And to make the three relegated teams collection complete this is a Newcastle shirt getting destroyed in a completely different way, and is something I have wanted to do for a while.
However the day I chose to do it the wind was blowing strongly so the effects were not as good as I would have liked, then just as I was finishing taking pictures it hailstoned on me-typical british summer weather!




To see the west brom shirt getting wrecked please see my other post on that subject, it got very messy then ripped.

If anyone has a particular teams shirt that they would like to see wrecked then shout out- I may be able to do it but please bear in mind that I cannot afford new kit, the shirts I use come from second-hand shops, car-boot sales or e-bay so are from past seasons, and some (like the west brom shirt) are not easy to find, the one I got came from a second-hand shop.
But if you ask, you never know, you may be lucky.

Looks likely that that'll be happening to a Burnley shirt at the end of next season maybe???

Treacle bath for the whole team every time they loose a match in that strip?
With a matching custard bath if they're wearing their black and white home one?

Then again, if there were sploshers on the team that might encourage them to loose! Perhaps they should have a team vote on whether the baths are punishments or rewards?

I'd imagine quite a few folk would enjoy seeing a fit football team sploshed in their team strips!

Hmmm, without wanting to cause a certain Geordie friend any further distress; DM1, you clearly haven't been watching The Toon this past season . . . I don't think they lacked any encouragement to lose judging by the alarming regularity they managed it !

I'm not a follower of football but I was aware they'd dropped out of the Premiership. Clearly they need some good solid incentives to win more games next season. Perhaps someone should mention gunge baths to the coach?

Hi, glad you are liking the pictures.
I have found that getting wet or messy in football shirts feels good, I especially like getting them wet.

Over the last couple of days I have bought a Sheffield Wednesday shirt which is white and blue stripes, a black Newcastle away shirt from 2000 season complete with matching shorts (can't wait to cover it in bright yellow custard!), and I have seen a Newcastle away shirt which is a sort of strange pea-green colour, the shop was closed but I will try to get it tomorrow.

I will post some pictures as I get the shirts wet or messy in the future, I really enjoyed soaking or messing the shirts I already have done.

Apologies for any errors relating to any aspect of the football side of things but as I have said before I know nothing about football at all.

I looked at the yellow Newcastle strip via the above link, it is awful but I would love to go rolling in the mud wearing it!

By the way andi41, missed watching glastonbury this time due to other commitments, any link to the pictures you refer to??

as a follow-up to the destruction of the Newcastle shirt I walked past where I wrecked it today, the path was overgrown but the shirt remains were still hung in the hawthorn hedge where I left them ( I know it isn't very environmentally friendly, but the amount of other rubbish there is incredible, also it was hailstoning on me so I ran for cover without clearing it away).
The strange thing is someone had cut the adidas logo off the shirt, the rest of it is still there but the bit with the logo on it has definately gone.
And I thought I was strange

Did you know that you can get 25/1 on Newcatle to go down again into League 1? I'm tempted to put a tenner on it as I think theyve gone into freefall, like Leeds did. Premiership relegation predictions for this season: Hull, Sunderland and Portsmouth

PS I cant really call any one else as my team, Bury, lost their first game today 3-0 at home!

I reckon Hull, Burnley and Portsmouth to be playing Championship fooball 2010/11 myself

I think Burnley might stay up. I watched them a few times last season and thought they played some decent football. Stoke suprised me last time and they might do the same.

Others who I think will struggle are Bolton, Birmingham and Wigan and, despite the big money being chucked at them I still think Man City will be mid table mediocrities again, prediction 10th/11th ish. Spurs, Everton and Villa are three others who are never in danger of winning anything but never in relegation scraps either either.
